Not true...for example, Darkstar One works on windows 7, but you have to manualy remove a file to make it work on Win 8...maybe becouse it's an old game, i don't know.
Thanks anyway, i know about min req and that's why i was asking for it since it's not stated win 8 as working in the shop page.
Sorry for my bad English
Sorry for my bad English
The only difference between the two systems worth mentioning is the desktop composition changes, which should only affect very old games (and there are plenty of workarounds for any game affected)
Baseline - If a game runs on Windows 7 it will run on Windows 8. They use the exact same APIs for games.
There are games, supported for win 7 but not for win 8, as you said...old games and as you said, there are workarounds to fix them ... this is not an old game, i know that, but since programming a game sometimes takes years and in the shop was not stated win 8 (Farcry 4 for example states it, instead), i preferred to ask for before adding this title to my wishlist ...i did it politely, my question was answered (thanks again)...
Have fun now
Hardware often needs different drivers etc that may or may not work with Win 8. I'm a fan of FSX and running it on Win8 is a PITA!
