The construction site (spoilers)
So the last 3 games I've had the construction site with "military patrols," where they do a pincer move against... some rebel or scavenger. I've consistently done the same thing every time, even the first... Beat them to the area, hide in the shadows, watch them shoot the other guy in the back, backstab the first soldier who comes near, and then take cover to have a shootout with the remaining soldier. This time I ran the whole way, so I got there even earlier than usual, and it seems like it might be possible to save the guy running from the soldier, though the risk would be much higher. Anybody ever do this? Does the guy just run away or does he say anything?

Good tips, but I honestly have been there only once. I just saw the guy get killed by the soldier and just sneaked around and got supplies, got caught up and ran away

Yeah, I tend to do it with an assault rifle and don't usually get injured, but be careful about characters that don't one-shot the first guy, I usually use Roman or Arica - not sure how it would go with a pistol/shotgun either. But it's probably the easiest way to get combat vests.

I haven't yet played an 'aggressive' game; I prefer to hang around the Construction Site on the lower levels while all the action plays out above me (there's plenty of stuff to loot in the meantime). Then I go back the next day and all the soldiers have despawned, leaving the entire area to be freely looted. Means missing out on a lot of weaponry but, as I say, I generally play peaceful. I'd be interested to know how people approach taking the soldiers out, however, as I'd like to experiment with more aggressive styles of play.

I used Marko cause of the 15 Backpack space (really comes through) gave him a knife (anytime It says caution or danger I give them weapons)
Never even realized there was a guy to save. Just waited until the snipers switched sides of the building, got on the level above them, murdered them from the ladder above with the shotgun.
