Board Up- Marko Solo

So I just started the round with just Marko. As I expected, I am being raided every night.

I was wondering if there is even a point in using my resources to "Board Up" or will the raiders still get in anyways since no one is guarding?

If you plan to be out literally every night, then no, there's no point to it. If Marko gets wounded, however, or you gather such a stockpile of food that you can afford to just sit on it for a few days, you may have the need or desire to leave Marko at home for a night. That's the only time when boarding up the house or reinforcing the door would be useful.

I just finished a single Cveta with early long winter and harsh war. Nobody joined her house. I boarded up everything, made 2 beds, 2 heaters, but no one came to live with her.

If Marko stays alone and scavenge every night, then you dont need to worry about building any heaters or boarding up you house.

Yes, that's true regarding the heaters. You only get sick from cold during the night, and that only happens to characters that stay home. If you only have one character (and you're positive you'll never need to spend a night to recover from an injury or something), you never need to even build a heater.

Funny that the severe cold will reduce the rate of nightly raids, when running through the streets is in fact the only 100% sure way to avoid suffering the effects of severe cold.

Good to know about the heater, was just about to build one! I'm still waiting for this sickly Anna to come by for her meds but I have a feeling she's not coming...

A bit off topic, but if Marko becomes "Broken" is there any hope? Since he won't do anything and is just bound to commit suicide? He's already depressed so I'm worried.
