The Rampage Killer Playthrough (epic screenshots)
Roman killed them all on his own. Killed every living thing in the entire city. Men, women, homeless, doctors, nurses.. even the elderly!

His group believed he was just scouting every location before bonehead Boris arrived.

But on the final eve of day 41, Roman sat down tiredly on his wooden chair, peering insanely into his secret and seemingly endless box of things, regarding the bloodsoaked spoils of his flawless genocide.

Now This War of Mine™ has really begun...

ok, narration off

I have had so much fun playing this game. My first several playthroughs I've always been the good guy helping everyone, killing only bandits and militia and stealing nothing.

Once I got good at combat I decided to do a mass murderer run for the first time and boy does it pay off, I had a few guns and ammo by day 3 and from then on my crew didn't want for nothing.

Pointless to spend days carting components and wood home to build when you can kill everyone and just take the meds, food and weaponry you ultimately wanted to craft. and then just trade the herbal med crap to the wandering tradesman for your component needs.

No need to craft waterfilter, booze, herbs. I only had one issue with Roman getting depressed at the beginning after shotgunning the old fogies, but once I talked to him a couple of times, he didn't give a single ♥♥♥♥ for the rest of the game lol

Granted, to do this successfully requires you to probably keep Roman alive throughout and always stay in cover with an AK after your first stealth kill :P

10/10

Can't wait for patch 1.3

oh yeah, here's how much food and meds I had left at the end using this playstyle

This Genocide of Mine: starring Roman.

I've found this kind of run quite fun to do as well.

How did you kill all the civilians without getting a huge load of depression? Did you have a tonne of alcohol stocked somewhere or what?

Now granted Roman can wipe out the military base in a heartbeat without shedding a tear, I imagine he doesn't really care as long as they are people who fight back - which, incidentally, almost everyone does.

And like the OP said he only had a slump when killing the old folks (I Imagine he meant the helpless old couple in the quiet house where you can just waltz in and take all their things, so he wouldnt even have needed to kill them), so that would support my theory. Besides these, everyone else either tries to fight you with fists or draws a gun or calls for someone with a gun or something like that. And when that happens, Roman probably becomes the stone cold killer that he is supposed to be. (I have so far only killed bad guys with Roman, and he totally didnt give a ♥♥♥♥ then, so I can only confirm this speculation as far, but the rest I wrote here still makes sense to me)

Could you please post any streams of this kind of playthrough?

not a huge stash for day41. and with such an amount of food why is Pavle very hungry!?!
Semtext Mar 22, 2015 @ 12:06pm
because he is only feeding his people every other day, i guess, this seems to be a (albeit very faulty) strategy to conserve food. in my experience, if everybody is well fed all the time the food can't get stolen and nobody flips out and goes on a killing spree/commits suicide/steals all your stuff and runs off.

yeah but if youve got huge stash, why not feed them up? Make it to day 43 and i like to have a massive blowout of a feast - ill even give franko and his magic backpack stuff for free
Chad34 Mar 23, 2015 @ 11:48am
Now that I think about it, Franko has an awfully large backpack. Maybe the devs should change it so he's pulling a wagon or something. Or maybe have this big bag on his back.

Roman actually does become sad and depressed after killing inoocent NPCs. His dialogue boxes will also show regret or remorse. He is easily fixed though by getting him drunk.
I have done full rampage games and by getting everyone drunk the next day none of my survivors ever got worse than depressed and that was only when I cleared the hospital of all NPCs and then took their stuff I had both Marko and Marin become depressed. Two days of drinking fixed them right up.

The true cold heart of all the survivors is Emilia. She really doesn't care what anyone does as long as they bring stuff back.

Get them drunk and well fed if necessary.

I'd be more impressed if you didn't still need to make that chair for your group. Just saying. =P

Actually the chair was already there at the start of the game and it was for king Roman only, the rest can suffer on the hard wood :P

I didn't once need any of them to drink alcohol, I just spaced out the civilian killings every few days, that way Roman had time to kill bandits and militia inbetween and not get too sad.

I also always kept every survivor on well fed everyday, that is until the last few days where I thought sod it, let's see how much food I can hoard by the war end.
