War Child Charity DLC - Summary & FAQ
Guys!

We got some feedback from people asking for the achievements available in the DLC. We also have read threads on this forum about bringing the DLC back so people could buy it and get the two achievements available in it:

Note: Street Art
Note: Helping children

-----------------------------------------

And after the feedback, we brought it back. Thanks.

All the info and FAQ is below (I merged the threads with the summary about DLC and questions about bringing it back).

Peace!

War Child Charity DLC and its SUMMARY!
This is what has been achieved thanks to the gamers so far!

Check out the infographics here:

--------------------------------------------------

Some FAQ:

What's that?

A gallery of street art made by: M-City, Gabriel "Specter" Reese, SeaCreative, Emir Cerimovic, Fauxreel and Mateusz Waluś. You can find the pieces in different places within This War of Mine, building a unique in-game gallery.

Where's the gallery?
In the main menu.

Are the three DLCs different?
Nope, they contain the same but some are more expensive if you're fine to donate more. So the tiers are: 0.99 and 9.99 and then 19.99

Wait, donate?
Yes, all of the 11bit's proceeds go to War Child UK.

Who was involved in it?
The aforementioned street artists, 11 bit folks and War Child UK. And we've worked for free.

Where is the DLC?
Steam only, and it's here: http://store.steampowered.com/app/348040/

How many are the street art pieces?
Well, we prefer that you should discover these yourself.

Can I see how it was done?
Sure, here's a Youtube video with more details:

Thank you and hope this message reaches every good gamer out there and thank you for helping out. Also, hats off to the all of you who helped and voted This War of Mine for Audience Award at the IGF. Peace!

Very nice iniciative buying now

I wouldn't be too bothered by any Financial rating above 60/100, tbh.

Charities certainly don't run themselves, and advertising isn't free; a 77+/100 is a great score.

This is certainly great idea for a good cause. Supported!

Often the games industry makes me sad with all the grabbing DLC, until one comes across initiatives likes this. Super, gonna buy this game+dlc once I've the time for it.

Yes, I bought one. It's not much ($0.99) that I am able to donate, but I hope it helps.

Was wondering about this, thanks.

...just replying here, so you know I edited the first post to include the infographics. Here it is summed up in a text:

How much did gamers achieve by supporting This War of Mine - War Child Charity DLC? A lot! Change in the lives of 350 children!

Right now War Child are working in places across Iraq and Jordan to protect and support Syrian refugee children. We’re honored to announce that support from the TWoM DLC campaign can provide the following support for 350 children: psycho social support to recover from trauma, child friendly spaces: to make sure War Child can reach a child before someone else does, informal education: school fees, livelihood support, teacher training and others.

You can increase the number of supported children by buying the War Child Charity DLC (all 11 bit's proceedings go to the charity). The action continues until April 3rd, so please hurry!

So, after April 3rd it won't be possible to purchase the DLC at all?
RexJayden Apr 1, 2015 @ 6:51pm
This was good news Almighty Pudding. Thanks for the update! :bandages1:
