No, this will be a separate DLC.
I think the content of dlc is small
I hope there are more stories if another dlc comes out
So I won't buy anything that supports this organization. If that had been in the Season Pass - ok. I don't support it separately. Sorry. It's sad that this organization was now included in the donations.
It seems whatever game devs do nowadays they just cannot win.
We made a DLC and continue to develop the game more, and sell it for money ("oh it's a cash grab" naysayers cry!)
We made a DLC, ten years later, this time 100% of it will go to the charity. ("oh it's not the charity I would like it to go to")
Can't win.
OG
However, not everyone has to like and want to support every aid organization. In the past, I wouldn't have cared about the aid organization like you do, but you get older, more informed and at some point you simply represent certain values.
I was just expressing my opinion, sorry. I thought a forum was there for exchange - also for expressing concerns and criticism.
Humble makes it possible to support individually, but I am already aware that this is not possible with every game/DLC - on Steam, unfortunately.
PS. And of course: Respect for the DLC and that 100% will be donated. Great initiative by the developers. <3
I wasn't knocking your opinion, sorry if it came off that way.
I fully understand if something has effected you or you have read a story on something that effects a moral dilemma that you wouldn't want to support that.
Probably like me with most charities to be honest, as when you get to my age, you realise that most humans are flawed and therefore even a good faith charity will have some flaws at some point in time.
It's why I rather give to the individual or to a cause I know it goes to.
For instance a local pub here was burnt down by arsonists, about a decade ago now, and the insurance only paid out to cover half the cost. The landlord was going to have to move etc and shutdown the pub. Now I used to frequent that pub regularly, so I paid for the half.
It is now rebuilt and even survived lockdown etc. I also have a lifetime of free whiskeys haha. But thats the type of charity I would do.
Obviously, here you are spanning a wide net. They can't know of that landlord.
Even if the DLCs play differently to the main game, I find them very impressive. If you buy the new DLC, I wish you a good time with it - despite the sad theme.
