i guess it wont be a good idea, we have the option to end the day, and that option is a risk removing that would make the game easier.

This would be pretty cool I guess... However it kind of defeats the purpose of "end day"

Huh? All i'm proposing is something to speed up time, got nothing to do with ending the day.

Yeah, not sure why these guys think speeding up time during the day would defeat the purpose of "end day", but w/e. I agree. This game desperately needs a speed modifier during the day, so you're not just sitting there for 15 - 20 minutes waiting to see if there is a trader who comes or not. Or even like someone else has proposed, just add a "wait for trader or end day" so that way if there is a trader who comes (which usually there is), then you don't have to twiddle your thumbs waiting for them. And if there's not a trader who comes, it simply ends the day. Otherwise you're taking up peoples time honestly, and people dont like that. Who wants to just sit there and watch their characters sleep for 15 - 20 minutes everyday in the game? Um, I'll tell you, nobody thats who.

Man I have wanted this as well. One of my first thoughts upon playing, and I looked everywhere for it. Later in the game it's getting even more boring as I have injured people or always people sleeping during the day and you just sit around waiting for someone to knock. Pretty boring, and made me quit playing for the night a few times.

Does this game have mods would this be possible?

the "sitting and doing nothing" time is actually important. A full day is about 20 minutes or so with the night about the same????
No need for this.
I had Boris slightly wounded, making firewood, 2/3 in to the process he stopped, took a break by him self to find a chair. I let him sit some using another to finish up. etc.
They take breaks to rest, and if ANY type of mood, sickness or wound that is not very good they will pause more often.
I have never "just sat" around

I just sit around 90% of the time, what are you talking about? Theres nothing to do.... Especially when youre starting out, even on day 15, theres nothing to do. You have nothing to build, because you have NOTHING. So idk what youre talking about making firewood, but ok, so he makes firewood, but does that take 20 minutes during the day for him to complete? heh... w/e

I find the opposite is true. When you're at day 12 or so and have basically everything built in the house and stacks of food in the fridge, there isn't much to do each day after the chores are done. It's like, you get home, assign people to beds, check the radio, change the water filters and... that's it. You just twiddle your thumbs waiting for the water filter timer to refresh again.

If you end the day early though, you might miss refilling a rat trap, or end the day with less than 6 fuel in the furnace; making your people sick. My biggest worry is it's a neighbour day and they're just rocking up late, so I try not to end the day early before 4PM.

I have never, and I repeat never, had someone come to my door after 12 pm

Im not sure how you guys get a gazillion supplies before even day 15... but w/e. Guess it must be mods, cheats, etc. I have enough to build the basics, and then enough food to survive for maybe 2 days at best. Since you can only send out 1 guy at night, and they only have 8 to 12 slots, I really don't understand how you guys have all this and that within that sort of timeframe. Unless like I said, you're using mods of some sort, or cheating.

no one comes after 1pm and i use the time to heal the wounded players. also finishing day early does speed up any wounds or very tierd people

The solution is simple. Just have a time button for players to make it pass slower when they have lots to do and faster when nothing much. That said, it's unlikely further adjustments will be made to an old game though I'd welcome such an addition.

ur right

Visits are programmed between 8 and 10. Never later.

There's some mod to change this between 7 and 9

(Exception for the father story where the trader comes by twice during the day at the begininig)
