Hey there,
we have thought about it in the past, we analyzed many possibilities - but finally we decided that the best war-like experience will be provided by a well-balanced single player game. And as far as I know - it will stay this way - no multiplayer or coop is planned.
Thank you for the comment, cheers!
I really want a coop game, when i play this game, my friend always let me play others.I want to both play this game and play with my friends. Thanks for this game ,i am moved by this game.Really love!
That's a fair point but there is a way to make it work.
For example: when it comes to the choices, if done within the team the game can give a limited amount of time to pick one (if different teams, the global time keeps ticking so it's in the player's best interest to hurry up). This time limit can be set by the game host before launching the first session. This would of course limit the number of players in game and probably not allow new players to join mid-game, but that doesn't mean it will be just PVE (say one of your friends start being a ♥♥♥♥, so you kick him out of the house and he goes somewhere else on the map).
There needs to be a careful design for this part of course. The exiled player has to be prevented by the game itself to reach the house without approval of the "clan leader", unless for night time raiding.
To avoid sync issues, the savegame could be stored locally on the host machine. This will prevent offline raiding which is the plague of all multiplayer survival games today.
As for the end-game, well that could also be set by the host before launching the first session. Like, will it be a matter of points (based on colony health, resources), time limit (in days) or complete annihilation? I'd say let the players decide which way to go.
So yeah, basically a digitalized version of the board game would be the best way to go in my opinion.
