or get a team mate to talk to the deppressed person
Learn to read please, I just said that no matter how much I talk with him or feed him he does not get unbroken.
Some characters are strong mentally, some are weak.. this might be a weak character who cannot recover very easily.. It is also possible to have characters remain injured or sick for days to.. characters recovering from anything too quickly (wounds/sickness/depression) would be pretty unrealistic.
There are lots and lots of factors that can tip their mood either way or interfere with recovery. Maybe there's just one factor that is being overlooked which is preventing various recovery methods from working.
For example, maybe your character is well fed and being talked to, as well as getting drunk.. but if there are things missing from the house such as home comforts (chairs/books), indulgences (coffee/cigarettes) ..and if a member of the house steals private property on a scavenge, or if they hurt an innocent or if the house fails to help an innocent (neighbour event), these factors could be stalling the recovery a little.
Zlata can bring people back from the edge (she 'bolsters spirits'). Guitar music helps a lot (and perhaps music from the radio) ..only some characters can play the guitar though.
There might be other factors holding them back, but I'm not 100% sure if they are actual factors yet.. things like the temperature (if it's too cold) and maybe if home security is bad, they seem to react badly when a raid is successful - mostly due to the wrong person being on guard duty (as well as not having enough weapons and not having the place boarded up).
..Try as many positive things as possible (the game is a Karma simulator). You get a steam achievement if you do manage to bring them back from the edge.
