I know FP and FP2 just wish This War of Mine 2 is a thing.
Also isn't FP / FP 2 top down management + survival instead of scroll action + survival
As much as most people hates and don't want to see a war happen because the loss of lives in general or even closed one / relatives and all sorts of humanitarian and social issues come arising immediately after a waging an war...
We need a "modern" This War of Mine (hence the sequel) that focus more aspects of the current issues we face when a modern war is waged
* Dialogue trees when interacting with non player characters outside of trading. Think of encounters such as someone about to jump off a building due to depression, and it's your goal to talk them out of it. Certain characters do better in these dialogue trees and thus have more options.
* A multiplayer component. But not like a player survivor crossover. There's this game called ZombiU where if your character ends up becoming a zombie, it becomes your goal to track down your previous character and get your stuff back. Online interactivity also duplicates this zombie to other players, allowing them to get a copy of your loot (you lose nothing in the process). I was thinking of a safety deposit mechanic where you can store your own loot and other players can potentially encounter your safety deposit box and grab your donations (once again, duplicated so that you technically lose nothing). It's a means of altruism without you actually risking your life and limb in the process.
This War of Mine is great, But it isn't really set for a sequel. While it tells stories about the war and how it affects people, the main point of the game is not to enjoy going through these stories, but instead it is the message of the game iself.
And this message was already told by TWOM, doing the same in TWOM2 would feel redundant. Sure, there are things which in technical terms could be improved, no doubt, but is it really necessary ? - I don't think it is.
yes it is necessary.
Way more than pretty much all the necro franchise out there that doesn't need a sequel but people still dumb enough to buy them.
Hold yr horses there comrade. Not every game needs to have a message and there's no reason TWOM2 needs to do exactly the same things as TWOM. I enjoyed TWOMs unique survival mechanics, doesn't mean I enjoy experiencing war or watching ppl suffer. Its a game not real life.
