One of the problems of having both these options active is it confuses new players, they think by selecting these options they are activating content when in fact it just forces a preview of the newest content instead of randomly distributing old & new locations more evenly.
What i dont know about is the anniversary edition it says it adds location, characters and new ending. I dont know what those are since its not in patch news im guessing its an old update
I dont get why you cant choose both at the same time since it just adds it "randomly" anyways
When the option is not switched on the new locations will just appear randomly and naturally (so it will take a few playthroughs to eventually see them all).
The 'new ending' refers to an alternative way of surviving a scenario (the standard end game method was to last until the war is over, the alternative method is a form of escape which allows you to get out while the war is still on).
Still what does anniversary edition mode add?is it in an old patch news or something curious about that one
I guess the main thing that forcing the anniversary content does achieve is it ensures that you will have the option to complete the scenario using either the alternative method (escape) or the standard method (survive).. where as leaving it off will mean you only might get the escape option (should that location randomly appear).
I think once you've seen all the stuff from the various big updates it is best to leave those options unchecked.. this will ensure regular scenarios will be super varied, especially now that there are so many locations to draw from.
