Game wont fill screen or change resolution
Since the latest update and DLC, only portion of the game (top left corner) will show on my screen. Sometimes if i am lucky and I alt+tab game runs in windowed mode, but changing resolutions doesn't really change anything, if I set it to full screen again it just shows the top left corner again and the non-fullscreen resolution is stuck at 60%. Its an issue with the newest update, because it run fine before. I tried reinstalling, a config fix I found for previous versions, the only way the game is playable is with borderless gaming exe, and it still runs only at 60% of the resolution.
Its one of my favorite games and I want to enjoy it in full glory, so this really annoys me. Anyone had the same issue and managed to fix it?

Thanks in advance.

It's the same with me. Additionally, I tried a walk around with a second screen and DisplayFusion - nothing works. Mayba a problem with Radeon-products?
And it is a little bit irritating, that this issue is known for min. 2 weeks now (dig a little in the plenty discussions to display/resolution related problems) and no solution to this problem in sight. So i really have some worries to get other games from this source like FrostPunk
(11bit studios - on their web side, one basic company quality indicator "Quality-first attitude." Aha,.ok.)

I am using a 1080ti so its not radeon only... Its very annoying when bugs are added in update and you cant go back.

Not the desktop shortcut

Ok
1.Go to your steam library
2. right click and select properties
3. Click the browse game files

its there where the exe is probably down below the list, named "This war of mine"

Then follow the instructions.

i tried above method, doesnt work, what really worked for me is this:
Because i am using AMD, i activate super resolution, and changed my main display resolution to 4k (previously it was 1080p), i believe for NVIDIA also have similar feature that can extend your resolution above your native display.

After that, i run the game, quickly change the resolution ingame to 1080p, applied the settings and exit.

I reverted my display resolution back to the original 1080p.

I run the game again, and the problem was gone.

Hope it helps for other people in the future who have this same problem.
