People might casually claim it helps once in a while without any effort of ruling out other factors, but without an actual statement from the developers or a numerical analysis, there's no way to know for sure.

The location of your heater is also irrelevant, given that you can place it in the outdoor-ish area of the station shelter and be no worse off.

I think it would be pretty interesting if boarding up the holes did affect the temp (and even if things like heater location and open doors could affect the temp), good idea for a mod perhaps.
