* I attempted to use Herbal Meds and fed the daughter. It turned out to be a mistake. Basically, you're railroaded in the first few days of the campaign.
* Same rules apply for solo runs; don't worry about shelter defense and temperatures.
* The lockers in the second half of the shelter contain a sawblade and a hatchet, so it's wise to attempt to build a crowbar and shovel.
* Make good use of the rat trap in the second half of the shelter; you'll need the meat.
* Each clue you find in each location unlocks a new one. When it branches between the Gas Station and the Shelled School, the Gas Station only has a regional trader. The Shelled School has the clue, but you'll need to fork up three raw meat first.
* Like in any hostile location, using stealth attacks at the toy store will pay off. You may need to engage mano-a-mano when you rescue the doctor from his captors, but you can just backstab the soldier next to the door and shoot the other, as the latter only has a knife.
* When you reach the church, surprise! The daughter was dead all along.
I haven't explored the airport yet.
But i got the same ending as you Mostarda TK.
SPOILER
Otherwise the scenario is very easy, it can be completed in 9 days:
- first 3 days in the shelter
- 4th day brother's house
- 5th day the pharmacy
- 6th day the school (bring 3 meats)
- 7th day the hospital
- 8th day the toy store
- 9th day church
During those 9 days you only need to eat three times (maybe even two?) and you'll find 3 pieces of food easily, even with the "gift" for the beggar. You only need to build a basic metal workshop, one crowbar, maybe a shovel and a basic cooker. And the bridge ofc. That's it.
I don't pay for that kind of feel. That's more like disappointment than FEEL !
Yeah, on my first playthrough, I got the meds and fed the girl. After the abduction, I kept stockpiling meds and food in the hopes that when I get her back, I will be able to nurse her back to health. Even got a second rat-trap and rushed for an improved herbal garden. Went as far as planting 8 x vegetables but it turned out all to be pointless because I reached the church on day 20-something and it was all over.
I only did a second run because I didn't notice the basement on my first and failed to save the doctor, he was already dead on my second visit.
Overall, I enjoyed the format but am not a fan of the dead-all-along daughter plot twist.
Jesus...well i guess you are not going to win Father of the Year award :D.
1) Keep the original DLC ending but also make a chance to have a different story end.
2) Dialogue options.
3) If the daughter dies, continue the story with an option to redemption with an adoption or damnation with alcohol and violence.
4) A way to threaten just pointing with weapons.
Dunno if the game engine support this but the story felt short and the ending kinda cheap.
From what I can gather you don't really need to build all of the workstations and they certainly don't need fully upgraded.
I built the moonshine thing just to get some alcohol for trading since the traps take forever to catch anything. Basic stove, level 2 metal shop for saw blades, should be good to go - not much else needed.
I am never going to play this again, but i guess they wanted to hit hard with this dlc.
So well... congratulation...
