Remember, you are a civilian trying to survive in a bad situation. Think like one. And think of the consequences to your actions. I see too many people coming into this game thinking like a soldier right out of the lastest fps expecting to kill everything moving or making a sound.
Play a lot, die a lot. Best way to learn.
All you have to do is to read the scene/map descriptions, it always says if there is a high risk of being attacked or danger.
This game is all about paying attention to your surroundings and staying focused. Read and understand everything you can, and you won't have a disadvantage as a beginner.
If a map says, DANGER, I obviously don't even go there or equip my survivalist with a gun.
You can also look on Google, helps a lot too.
