Another tip, if you have access to the hospital, and you don't desperately need to scavenge that night. You can send one of your survivors at wounded or worse (or sick) to have a nurse treat them for free.
Also, remember that not all survivors are equal at defending. Those that are better at combat tend to be more effective, and while I'm not certain, wounded guards are probably much less effective too (which is probably what your problem is). Sending out your best scavenger may not always be the best choice if you have horrible guards (people like Cveta, Anton, Katia, Zlata).
Also something absolutly needs to change with this depressing music on loop thats makes you want to ♥♥♥ like make the radio able to play music to bolster spirits or something the radio is just for show at this point why isnt there a cb raidio option for attracting traders and survivors also why cant the stove be a heater as well? Also why cant the characters talk casually to eachother instead of only when they need reassurance (p.s when talking to depressed characters its like pulling teeth trying to get anyone other than zlata to fix thier mental booboos for characters that have lived hard lives they sure do cry alot about the place and making them survive 18 days really supposed to be that hard).
Also why cant we get as many of these so called aid drops more frequently in real life non profit organizations deliver tons of supplies each day to victims and survivors in one game there was 1 count em ONE aid supply drop and it wasnt even giving to us it had to be pilfered.
Sorry for making everyones eyes bleed with my ♥♥♥♥♥♥ punctuation
But playing normally I never got raided daily, sometimes every other day but once I got the boards and door done and had at least 1 gun for each person staying overnight I didn't see many attacks even during a crime wave. What few I did see never got anything or injured anyone, I only ever had 4 people and 1 of them would be out scavenging all night so I only needed 3 guns.
Some people are also better at defending, if you're playing "write your own story" it'd be a good idea to have at least 1 police officer, they have the "familiar with guns" trait and with a good gun and maxed defences they could probably hold most heavy attacks alone (although having a 2nd gaurd can't hurt if you can spare it).
Also, to whoever is whining about Bruno in the replies, needs to realize he is quite an asset. With an upgraded stove and Bruno, your 2 animal traps can easily feed your 3 person team. His reduced use of water to prepare food means you can setup 2 rain collectors and trade surplus potable water. He is very sensitive though. Bruno, Cveta, and Marin.
Whenever you kill someone for something he seems to carry on pretty easily
There are 4 attack types: low, moderate, high, extreme.
I never took damage during crime outbreak if:
1) Full security
2) 1 guard
3) Everyone that stayed had a gun (typically use 4-6 ammo per night)
if you don't have 2 guns, you should probably have 2 guards during crime outbreak.
Who ever is saying that a knife is good enough, is OBVIOUSLY not knowing wtf he is talking about :D
