2. Remember, sneaking does not make you invisible, only silent. Backstabs can only be done from behind. The act itself will generate noise, so make sure the victim is alone. Otherwise his friends will come running. The shovel, crowbar and axe may be used but IMO the knife works best and is quietest.
3. If you are spotted run in the other direction, otherwise sneak/hide until you are out of range. Cover does not prevent them from hitting you, but may reduce your damage taken. Note that not all guys with guns will shoot at you on sight.
4. They reduce your damage taken from both melee and ranged. Also helps in defense of your shelter.
2. Attacking an enemy from an alcove is guaranteed kill. Otherwise backstabbing an enemy only deals major damage (Roman, Arica, and Boris can backstab an enemy in one hit). Lure an enemy to an ambush point with noise to lure it over and kill it safely. You shouldn't try to engage in direct melee combat; your enemy is prone to counterattacking, which is bad. The Hatchet deals the most damage.
3. Use the same tactics I mentioned before to deal with enemies with guns. If you kill an enemy instantly without being spotted, you'll get a fantastic prize!
4. Helmets and Vests reduce the amount of damage you take when equipped. Helmets and Vests stack on each other, but having multiple Vests/Helmets does nothing more.
