Windowed Mode?

Is there a way to force windowed/win Borderless?

Checked through the files but there's no customizable one in the directory that I can see.

In options , I disabled the full screen mode and it changed to windowed mode.

The game keeps crashing after every launch, not worth my time.

I was LOVING this game. Worked great this morning. Had to leave in a rush for a dr appointment, closed the lid on my laptop. 4 hours later this game will NOT run, no matter what I do. I cant get into the game to try "windowed" mode, and I also wondered if it was a save game glitch, but I've uninstalled and reinstalled 3x or more now with zero success. I'm really, REALLY starting to get angry at this crap...

edit: after trying everything in the guide (nothing worked) on a whim I tried to reinstall directx. It said I was current or higher...but then the game finally worked. I have no idea what changed....

got home from work today, thought I'd finish my game from yesterday..NOPE! Black windowed screen pops up for a few seconds then shuts. The end. And to think I was excited for the DLC and Frostpunk......

I emailed the devs on this issue, and they responded pretty dang quick. They sorted out my very stupid issue in no time flat, AND were very kind about it all. Game is working perfectly now, and I'm probably going to be picking up Frostpunk as a gift for my spouse when certification exams are over... :)

I am happy that you were able to fix your problem but it would be nice to know how you fixed it.

It's a wee bit annoying to not be given the help people are looking for. It's like you are bragging or something.

I was saying the devs are supportive and can likely help if you reach out to them. I emailed them after unsuccessfully trying to follow the steps posted on Steam. My particular instance wouldnt have likely applied to anyone else - I'd let someone house sit for me when I was on vacation (with permission to use the PC/consoles/netflix etc) and they'd installed cheats/mod files/something from the workshop. The devs figured it out looking at a log file. I strongly suspect most people know if mods have been made to their games or not.

So, if you have installed addons or cheats or mods for this game and you are having these issues, get rid of those.
