Can't open locked doors

Hello!

I'm playing with Katia and I'm standing in front of a locked door. She says she has tools to open the door with but I somehow can't find a way to find and/or select them.

Help pls :(

If you have the tools to open a locked door then you should see an icon when you stand close to the door - it looks like a padlock with a lock pick in it iirc. Click on this and you can then pick the lock.

N.B. I have noticed sometimes that characters will say they have the tools to open a lock even if they don't. Do you have any lockpicks on your character currently (or, if you're at your house, in your main inventory?)

I often found this, and it was because you didn't select to take the item in your backpack when you went scavanging. If you go to the area again and take the required items, you'll be able to open the door!
