so your saying it's not worth it
We have one "No"
It's on sale atm, for 200$ for everything on Steam.
But you can get significantly lower outside Steam.
It is a great game, plenty of people have thousands of hours on it so for them it was definitely worth it; at the same time, many people really did not like the game and have stopped playing it well before the 100 hours mark.
Best advice would be to look around for some gameplay video online and if you like what you see buy the base game and a couple of DLC; eventually if you do enjoy the game you can buy the rest (or even just those DLC that do appeal to you).
- it does get a bit redundant when some people complain about the DLC packs price. To me its not that big of a deal, I just get them slowly over time. The Base Game with Utopia and Federations is more than enough for 3-5 play throughs from start to end game imo.
I have over 350 hours on the game, Started running it earlier this Summer, just bought my 10th DLC pack, Spend hours and hours enjoying the crazy random things that happen and creating new species and play throughs.
I will say that the "Strategy" portion of the game can get pretty Deep. This is considered a 4x Strategy game so it requires us to use our brains. If your Only looking for Explosions and the highest quality graphics or a High Paced Experience- imo this probably isn't for you.
If your up for an intense strategy game that leaves you thinking and working to problem solve, This is a Good Home for you.
Otherwise this topic is trolling.
You may want to buy the all-DLC package on sale, though (that's what sales are for)
As there's always a chance to not enjoy a game, regardless of other people's playtime.
He's saying "buy the base game, give it a try, then make your own decision on whether or not the DLC is worth the added money".
