Automated Dreadnought wipe
So I was just in the vicinity of that thing on my starting rampage into my future vassal and I thought might as well pick it up now and save myself travel time later. 20k fleet, made sure to check in with curator order, they be like yes senpai u have vely stlong fleet no ploblem. I buy myself the 25% damage bonus just to be sure, engage and get my entire fleet wiped. Sure, there were about 10k floating around somewhere else but I didn't really expect it to be that big of a deal. Well, next time I'll wait until I engage with 100k just to be sure. Don't trust the chinese man.

Great, you got overconfident and paid the price for it.

Fleet strength can be deceptive. Its a general description at best. The actual components install make more of a difference, even if the actual strength rating is the same. The Ether Drake, for example, has no shields. So any of your weapons that do increased damage to shields (and less damage to armor) are mostly useless. On the other hand, if you had weapons that dealt more damage to armor (and less to shields), you would do far better even if the strength rating was the same.

The dreadnought has a lot of shields, and little armor in comparison. Its bigger weapons all deal less damage to shields, but a lot more damage against armor and hull. So, at least if the wiki is correct, you want to outfit your ships to deal with shield and hull, while using as many shields to protect yourself as possible.

That's been happening since the rework for hull regens. Leviathans require more power now to take down since they heal a lot more in combat because regen is now % based instead of a flat number.

Automation is great ! Misery to the jobless working class, glorious to the fatcats.
Just be a fatcat and everything is alright

Managed to take it down with around ~ 20k fleet and no damage buff. Lost around 10k, but was worth it.
Was using a mix of corvettes (with Autocannons), destroyers (Mass Driver and as much shield as I could fit in) and crusers (again, Mass Driver and as much shield as possible).

I havent confirmed, but to me it seems like they buffed the stats of the space entities by a lot. I've had a fleet of 25~ titans with neutron launchers manage to lose a few ships because they couldnt fully alpha strike the Ether Drake. (or atleast kill it before suffering critical damage)

Regen is still a low % and only daily so it shouldnt be able to have such a large impact against much superior firepower.

Fleet strength doesn't mean much. A fleet of 40 T5 corvettes with torpedos will demolish the automated dreadnaught simply because it can't hit them very well.

The same fleet will get utterly mulched by the dimensional horror, because its attacks never miss.

Interesting discussion. Was used to the old days when leviathans were less of a threat. Actually good if they are to be taken seriously now, it means doing your research pays off.
