Anomaly that I cannot find on the Wiki or anything
So, I encountered an anomaly that I evidently I chose the wrong decision in and it failed. I was curious about what would have happened if I had went the other way, so I was looking it up and I can't find it on the wiki.

Spoiler in case you want to be completely blind when you find it (it has to do with time travelling). I scanned the wreckage of a ship and shortly after was contacted by what was apparently the same ship, but from the past before the wreckage (I.E. time travelers). I was given an option to warn them or not about finding their destroyed future selves. I chose to warn them and apparently the warning caused their death. Anyway, I was curious what would have happened if I hadn't warned them, but I can't find the event anywhere to read up on it.

Update: I still cannot find it anywhere. I can't be the only one to encounter this, it must be somewhere and I am just missing it.

Yeah i've seen it many times already. I never really understood the thing. Maybe a hidden flag is activated for something else later? I do not know. Anyway, this anomaly is among the newest so it's normal if it's not mentionned yet on the wiki

Yeah, I've had the same event before as well. Turns out me warning them resulted in them crashing into an asteroid or something XD

Seems like the correct call would have been not to share it with them, but would that have caused a paradox of sorts?
I'm quite curious as well.

You can also turn on the debug command to see what effect the choices have.

I would have, but it is in a multiplayer Coop game with a friend, so I can't do that.
I don't know for sure what happens if you pick the other option...

... however, if I was writing the event then the outcome would be the same. So, if you tell them then they die because they tried to avoid dying, but if you don't tell them they die because they didn't know about the danger.

It's time travel paradox humor.
The system I got it in was a Neutron Star named Mmmmmm

That's kind of what I am thinking happens, I just wanted to check.

This was mentioned before on reddit. Apparently this event takes insperation from the Oroborus whatever(The ship's name also hints at what will happen), and thus focuses on there being no way to prevent the crew of that ship from their inebitable deaths... besides never finding the wreckage to begin with.

had this event just now.. accidently hit escape when i had the option to warn them or not.. it went to the next page where all i could do was say my goodbyes.. i dunno what escape would have chosen for me.. prly not warn them? I dunno

what are the two outcomes for this? do both options result in the same thing? if so.. then no worries on me f'n up that choice i guess, lol

any input on this event's outcome, or a link to info on it, is appreciated, thanks

I'd also like to know the event's name.. i can't remember

I've tried both options before. Both lead to the ship being destroyed and a resource deposit being added to a celestial body. I believe the event is just for getting nice resources added to the system.
CruX Nov 18, 2020 @ 1:44am
a resource deposit, you sure? i'll have to double check if that happened, cause i don't think it did.. i believe the system remained the same..

i recall something saying they were pouring over instruments and data, and just as easily as they appeared they vanished, and that was the last bit of info on it.. hopefully I can remember what system it was in to check if new resources were added, but considering i built mining stations in all systems, and no resources were left unclaimed, outside of special ones like the rare resources in need of certain technology to mine.. it shouldn't be too hard to find something new
CruX Nov 18, 2020 @ 1:49am
I guess mine bugged... I see no new resources in the system

it's on the same star
CruX Nov 18, 2020 @ 3:21am
nvm.. the system that they appeared in (within my space).. was not the system that got the resources.. it was where i discovered it in the first place (outside of my space).. as I just got a popup talking about how our efforts to warn them yadda yadda yadda.. then got the resources added to that system..

I guess it just took a bit for the game to give the next stage

choice 1 : warn them -> they explode
choice 2 : dont warn them -> they explode
does it even matter ?
