Does it matter? WH40k ripped countless things of from other science fiction.
Fixed that for you. Oh wait, wait- my bad :
There. Fixed.
Or maybe, this is a pretty common idea; Lovecraft & crew's stuff goes back almost 100 year now, and half of those involve terrors and necro-ish stuff from outer space.
Read a book, watch a movie, ma dude!
Orcs + space =faction
humans + space = faction
humans peasants = faction
Elves + space = faction
Necromancer + space = faction
everything + evil = faction
yeah who ripped off who and is super original
edit. probably missed a bunch but add any random fantasy topic over-saturated with novels with a futuristic take on it and you got 40k's creativity.
The dead space aliens thing goes way back. Star Trek had The Borg, a race of space cyborg zombies. He-Man had Skeletor. Actually I'm not sure if He-Man counts as sci-fi or fantasy... Maybe both. And then there's the singer Bob Dylan who's dead but animated by a virus. Or he sounds like it when he sings. And then there's Steve Guttenburg who's career was dead but he kept getting work. And my cat that's friggin' ancient. So dead space aliens have been around forever.
You are an actual idiot... Apart from the Nec (which is from Necro, a Greek prefix for death) in the name they are NOTHING like Necrons... if anything they're more like Necromongers from Riddick
How? What are you a child? Grow up.
It takes more than mixing up Necrons and Necromongers to be an "idiot". It would be more accurate to say he's not good at being a nerd.
Not to mention the word "Necro" (Greek prefix for death) is possibly hundreds if not thousands of years old... You know it being a Greek word (nekros) meaning dead body.
Necroids are zombie / parasytes spin-off.
So either you know nothing about WH40k or a plain troll.
