Failed to establish connection - no response from remote host
me and my boyfriend are struggling to stay in the world, we get a message saying "connection timed out" then when we try to get back in the world it says "Failed to establish connection- no response from remote list" after a few trys, we get back in the game, but then a few minutes later the same thing happens all over again

We're not struggling to see stuff, I am currently building and everything is acting normal, but every few minutes we are losing connection

Hey guys -- we're seeing an increasing number of players having issues with connecting to our servers. Either you are unable to connect at all, or you can connect but are seeing changes you make in the world reset.

If you aren't able to connect to the main screen, the problem is likely related to Steam -- you can check the status of their servers here: http://steamstat.us (mostly affects US players).

If you can get into the main menu but 1) can't connect to a world, 2) you can get into a world but none of it is loading, or 3) if you are seeing your world changes reset, you are probably running a program that is blocking our game from functioning correctly. Likely culprits are an anti-virus program (e.g. Avast, Malwarebytes) or a firewall.

Solution
  1. Add your Steam folder to your anti-virus program's list of exclusions (e.g. instructions for Avast users are here[www.getavast.net]).
  2. Add this site as an exception to any apps blocking HTML pages: http://thereafter.herokuapp.com.
  3. Set Steam to run as an Administrator (Right-click the Steam shortcut > Properties > Compatibility > Select 'Run this program as an administrator').
  4. Ensure you have these ports unblocked:
    • UDP 14000 - 15000
    • UDP 27000 - 27037
    • UDP 4380
    • TCP 27014 - 27050
    (More info here.)
  5. Quit the game and restart Steam.

One way to test if you have a program running that's preventing you from connecting to our servers is to load this page[thereafter.herokuapp.com] and see if any warning messages pop up. (The page should just go to our sad Pigsy 404 page without any pop up warnings if things are running correctly.)

If you're still having issues, a good way to troubleshoot this is to try the game on a different computer or with a different internet connection, or possibly through a VPN. However, you can also reach out to us and we may be able to help -- email us at support@playfulcorp.com and include your output_log.txt (found in \Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Creativerse\creativerse_Data\output_log.txt)

But have no program like Avast or malwarebytes or firewall !

Hi Curses,

That sounds like a problem connecting -- I'll include the usual troubleshooting below. Give this stuff a shot:
  • Set Steam to run as an Administrator (Right-click the Steam shortcut > Properties > Compatibility > Select 'Run this program as an administrator').
  • Make an exception for the Steam folder in your Anti-Virus program. (e.g. instructions for Avast users are here[www.getavast.net])
  • Add this site as an exception to any apps blocking HTML pages: thereafter.herokuapp.com (e.g. instructions for Malwarebytes users are here[www.malwarebytes.org])
  • Make sure you have these ports unblocked in your firewall:
    • UDP 14000 - 15000
    • UDP 27000 - 27037
    • UDP 4380
    • TCP 27014 - 27050
More info about these ports here.
If these fixes don’t help, you'll be able to find additional information and troubleshooting in this pinned thread.

You are not alone. We have exactly the same problem in our world Locurarowlod. I can't connect to it today, and I've been playing there for some days without any problems.
Geniside 31 DIC 2015 a las 6:33
Good Day,
In a reply to make it easier,

My steam is always running as Asministrator.
I have even closed and disabled my antivirus for the process of testing.
i have also added thereafter.herokuapp.com just to be extra sure.
the ports are forwarded and disabled local firewall.

The other thing we noticed was will be fine in the server and we both drop at the exact same time.

That alone points that it is not with us and we are on different internet lines and providers

With that our world name is Fairgaming

Geniside, this problem we have is not due to anything like ports, running as admin etc. as Brainsloth said.

When many people have exactly the same issue at the same time the problem is server side.
I just hope they will figure it out and fix it asap.

I'll follow up if I hear there are any issues going on that might be causing players to be dropped from worlds. The Creativerse servers are up and Steam doesn't seem to be having any problems, but there are other services required to connect, so it's hard to say without a dev taking a look.

To be clear, everyone posting here started experiencing these drops pretty recently?
Geniside 31 DIC 2015 a las 6:54
Yes seems about so while on it i saw the server was restarted and now everything is back to normal and no drops
TheRemyD 31 DIC 2015 a las 7:10
The Devs are aware of this issue and have posted a response here: http://steamcommunity.com/app/280790/discussions/0/451848855015740511/

If you are still having issues getting into your world then please post a message to that thread so the Devs can work on getting you back into the world. Thank you

Ok i get that you guys are busy and I'm seeing the solutions you're posting, but I'm having trouble fallowing these guides, if you can even call them that, if you could just get a step by step guide I think this would really simplify everything
TheRemyD 18 AGO 2017 a las 5:14
This thread is from 2015 and as such is being locked down. Have you tried googling the steps that are confusing you? Many of them are specific to what your system is set up with so it is difficult for us to make a step by step guide for every possible setup.

Please feel free to join in on a newer conversation or start your own here in the Bugs and Issues sub-forum if you need anything specific.
