It's the anticollision. It will happen everytime you would go inside a block, wether from hitting it at an angle while running and jumping... or placing it below you too quickly while jumping.
We do have one issue right now where we have Corrupted mobs, Miru and Hotfoots spawning above ground and in our base. We installed a mineral water elevator shaft that extends down to the corruption, and my guess is that this is part of the problem. We do have doors at different levels in the elevator shaft that should keep the mobs out. But I've seen mobs appear in the elevator shaft. We also have mobs spawning in completely sealed off rooms that are only accessible via teleports. The rooms only have crafted blocks, floor to ceiling, and are well-lit.
Any insight would be appreciated. Should we just seal off the elevator shaft and just use teleports?
Just as a side note, we did have a bunch of pets disappear, but we found them again nearby.
2. creatures can also use teleporters at rare occasions, so it might not be the best idea to place teleporters right into your living room (and you might also not want all visitors to enter your base. Currently visitors can use teleporters by stepping into them, even though they cannot take/pull them nor change their if you provide them with only the "visitor" permission rank)
3. underground creatures are suffering from a known bug that will teleport them upwards upon spawning or shortly afterwards under certain circumstances (if there's not enough space for them to spawn or if they can glitch when jumping)
4. however creatures can only start to spawn as soon as players are close enough. As long as neither you nor your friend/s are close to the corruption layer, no corrupted creatures should show up on the surface - neither by using the mineral water elevator nor teleporters.
So usually the bug becomes a problem only after players have visited the corruption layer or lava layer and then return to the surface - creatures will only spawn directly above the underground area that has been visited.
5. to be on the safe side, set all your pets to "stay". The bug that makes pets disappear forever if they are set to "wander" might still be around
It could be a temporary problem or an issue related to Antivirus programs
2. are you on your own gameworld? On gameworlds or on claims that belong to other players your permission rank might be set to "visitor", in which case it's intended that you cannot dig nor place anything there
3. have you changed your key bindings perhaps? Better check to be sure: "Dig" should be "Mouse0" and "Place" should be "Mouse1"
4. does this problem only occur with specific items? Some objects belonging to other players can have permission settings that might not allow you to take them
Circuits that I've already placed prior to R34 still work fine. There's a repeater making a flashing light, and that's still going. But when I wire a lever up to a door and flip it, the door doesn't open. Same with pressure plates, fans, gates, etc.
EDIT: I should mention that circuits work fine in my other world. It's just the "Work in Progress" world. And I've restarted the game several times.
Any way to fix this? Please and thanks.
Brand new water damage that has happened in the last 24 hrs.

Kool watched the water flowing where solid blocks should be right after porting to the zone.

Corrupt water has eaten clear through the corrupt layer and even ate away a good many 'end of world' blocks. I got a light down there so it could be seen clearly.
