Creativerse

Creativerse

Constant screen freezes every 5-10 seconds
I am getting these really annoying momentary freeze ups every so often and it's making it nearly impossible to play, or enjoy playing at least.

Things I have tried:
- Updated GPU
- Updated Windows
- Updated Sound Drivers
- Added Steam and Creativerse to Firewall exceptions
- Added ports to routers exceptions
- Uninstalled/Reinstalled Creativerse
- Disabled any firewall software
- Disabled Steam Overlay
- Ran Steam as Admin
- Lowered all graphic settings
- Started a new world with no lights or glass or anything anywhere but grass and trees and whatnot

I have tried nearly everything to try and solve this and cannot pin point the cause. Every so often when I'm running around or building something my game freezes for a split second, causing me to lunge forward 1-2 spaces, sometimes falling to my death because I didn't crouch before hand.

In case this helps here is my DxDiag: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1TJsc4ueUoHwrqXQcGf3yHwUIJz2lSN_vtIneSs0xSdg/pub

thought it was just me

in my case it started after the blueprint revolution update

Fly around your build site in a 3 claim radius(this will cache the data on your computer) to prevent this, it happens because your computer has to download the chunk data from the servers for locations you haven't seen yet. It then has to process that data and both of those things cause 'lag'.

The only things you can do are:
1. Make sure your computer has cached the data around you by exploring around you before you start doing complicated things.
2. Upgrade your internet and try to reduce the latency between your computer and Playful's servers.
3. Upgrade your computer so it can process that data faster, integrated graphics card systems will have a harder time with this stuff than dedicated graphics systems.

1. I have been building in the same area though and it does it no matter what. I move around a 5-6 block area to build so it should have any data cached.
2. Upgrade my internet? I have 100Mb/s speeds.
3. I have MORE than enough of a computer to handle this game. I mean, I can throw any recent game with ultra settings at it and it doesn't bat an eye. Yet I walk around in this game and I get screen freezing. It's only recently as well. Probably since the blueprint update.

seeing as there are 2 other threads on the top page in the "bugs" sub forum that mention this starting after the last update i don't think yours is an isolated case

Nope not an isolated case at all. Nore is it very new, it's been a thing for several builds now. My Laptop is loaded for bear, and can like the OP said, run most stuff at ULTRA. But does the freeze all the time.

This is not related to you, I think there are other problems, my brother.

It seems like it's probably a connection problem, which you'll find odd since you have a good connection to begin with.

I still suggest you try the steps 3-4 in this guide :
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=637204193
There is also that guide on Playful's website that's especialy targeted at connections issues :

The game run fine on my i5-4460, R9-255 (2g), 8g ddr3 with a mediocre internet connection.

It runs a bit less smoother on my laptop (i5-5200 @ 2,2 GHz, Intel Graphic 5500, 6g ram and still a mediocre internet connection)

With that being said, after you try the connections trick, if there is still an issue I'd suggest you try contacting support@playfulcorp.com (as suggested in the guides above).

This is something that is currently being looked into. If you could all send in a DXDiag.txt and your output_log.txt that would be incredibly helpful.

On Windows you can find that file here: [Steam folder]\steamapps\common\Creativerse\Creativerse_Data

Good job Jeremy ;)

Let's see what the answer is ... Tell us what you are

I have the same problems
AppleSmiling Jul 29, 2017 @ 8:10pm
My husband sent my DXDiag and output_log and tried everything they told us to fix the issue,, they just sent to us an email that says they are tracking an issue that is causing FPS drops for many players. I hope they can find the problem soon
