The "beta" in the title is mainly for the guide, which is a work in progress, but the game is kind of beta anyways, so please be patient as we iron things out!

Q: Do we need to download all the templates, or will those be kept available for the foreseeable future?

You only need to download templates you want to use for running worlds - if you don't have any world using that template, you don't need that template at all.

Understood, I'm just thinking about if at some time in the future, I might want a new world, do I need to have all the templates before the servers go away, or is template storage going to be kept even after the live hosting is shut down?

Templates are now hosted on Mod.io, they'll remain available there regardless of our servers being up or not - there's no "3 months" limit for the templates.

was hoping to see info on commands added like /give
looks like this isnt where to find that, but im not really sure where to find it and an item list for it. creative mode was missing the things i was looking for

The cheats have some documentation in the Manage Cheats of each player - in-game, Esc screen, player list, click on your name, click on Manage Cheats ( or View Cheats depending on the cases) and hit the "i" info button to expand the details of the cheats.

You mainly don't need the /give cheat, but if you are in for such kind of details, the WebAdmin contains a reference page, hitting B in world gives some debug info, and the tooltips on all the new pickers (say, the picker for the resource to buy claims in the world settings) include the block ID and item ID (you can only /give yourself item IDs)

Can't create worlds?

I can't create any worlds, I just keep getting template not available message

Getting Templete not found

I made a new world today after the update. I played it for a bit and logged now. Now it is saying template not found.

Can I download the templates manually? In game the download always stops after a few percent. So I am not able to start any world, as the templates are missing.
It is always the same, he starts downloading the template, stops after some time, restarts and after a few times he drops the download.
I tried to download it with "Download Template", "Download Template and Play" and via the map screen. It is always the same.
When a manual download is possible, where do they need to be copied to?

You can download templates manually from Mod.io: https://mod.io/g/creativerse - once you have downloaded a template, put it in the

/dltemplates

as explained by the guide, the game should see the download and let you use that template.

I'll add the info to the guide.

If you were able to play with a template and then it started giving you "Template not found" try just refreshing the new Server Browser (there's a "revolving arrow" refresh button in those new UIs, and you can also Control+Shift+R to refresh such UIs).

For templates which are really missing from https://mod.io/g/creativerse (you can download templates from there and put them in the "dltemplates" folder, instructions in the guide: https://steamcommunity.com/app/280790/discussions/0/3716062978728166023 ) please email [e-mail] and I'll see what I can do for templates which haven't been activated and made available for download - there is a ton of old templates which we have recovered but we have no means to know which ones have actually been used by old worlds, many such old templates seem to be just tests and duplicates, so we couldn't expose them all.
