Disable the fog of war
Would it be possible for a world owner to have the option to remove the fog of war from the map. It is rather tedious to spend so much time clearing the map to find the desired area in which to build.

IMHO I believe the point of it was so you would go explore and find out whats in those areas :)

It also helps you learn your map by going and uncovering places you have never seen, an I still find myself suprised by some of the places i find :)

I understand the point of it, which is why I suggested an option to remove it rather than remove it from all maps. As for myself, after clearing the map on several worlds I have absolutely zero desire to endure the exercise again and would very much like the option to remove the fog on my map.

That i agree with after 2 or 3 worlds it does get somewhat old, somewhere somebody had all the maps uncovered as a JPEG just cant remember where, meatball may know

Aye I have seen the images and have used them to some extent, though still tedious they are better than nothing. It will be more of an issue when random world generation happens

Here is how most of us use the maps even with the fog of War.

Maps 5 - 8 are the current worlds that will be randomly generated when you create a world.
Move around maybe 3 - 4 claims of area and open enough map to match it up with one of the reference worlds.

I will also move this over to the "Suggestions" subforum so it can be included in suggestions/requests from game players. :)

+1 I'm tired of clearing the map over and over.

+1 to it also for me.

You could even add in a chest drop (maybe adding it into a possible mob drop) a 'remove fog' data chip/scroll for the non-world onwers. Use it, and it brings up your world map. Click somewhere on the wprld map, and it unfogs areas just like if you explored there.

I would also love to see the fog disappear from the edge of the world. Makes it hard to build right to the edge when the entire screen fades out on you.

I rather like your idea there Tinker having a discoverable "map piece" would add a bit of fun to clearing the map for non world owners. I still would want the one click option for world owner though.
As for the world edge, I never understood why the world didn't wrap, so when you pass the edge on one side of the map you show up on the other edge. It is supposed to be a world and they are round, unless you believe in the flat earth theory, or that we live in a dome :D

Cash Shop item = Fog of War removal tool. Support for game developers, and as long as the price is reasonable it will sell.

Never know.. .the worlds of Creativerse could be on the backs of giant space-faring turtles. Hmmm, now I want to rename one of my worlds to Ankh-Morpork. :steamhappy:

Funny thing, I named my wireless router at the homestead Ankh-Morpork years ago.

I like the owner option for removing the fog of war, but I'm still new enough I still haven't cleared the first world I'm on lol. I'd hate to lose the fun of exploring on a new world just because the owner turned off the fog. How about instead have the owner toggle between on and player's choice? That way he can either allow each player to choose for himself, or force it on (similar to making you unlock everything again - to have a new world experience).
- I think something similar to this for claims would be nice too, where the world owner has toggles for on, off, and claim owner's choice. It'd apply to fire, pvp and explosives. That way the world owner can actually control his own world instead of allowing someone to claim a plot of land and destroy it - or pvp if they despise pvp.

Add to that the ability of the owner to reset specific cells in a world to help deal with the less than civil persons who join a world just to cause issues.
