Emotes
So, how exactly do we get them? Or are they not in the game yet? I noticed the XBox controller configuration has a key assigned to emotes (axis 6), but no other control configuration has a key assigned for that.

since its JSR inspired im assuming that each individual character will have different actions for different emotes unless they're similar like sitting down or something of that matter?

The first idea makes more sense since there's only one key assigned to the emotes. I think even for the keyboard configuration there's only one key available for emotes.

Speaking of JSR, I should try to get used to its gameplay... once again :/ Never got to play much of it bc of how clunky it is to today's standards.

Perhaps, they already show their unique idle animations in the character creation.

But the emotes might work like that, or they all might be the same or perhaps they might have different variants like dance 1 or dance 2 something like that.

Of course the rest of the emotes will kinda be like an MMO, such as Sit, Sleep, Cry, Wave, Cheer, Skillcape

That does sound pretty nice. I just wonder how we would go about using those with a controller, something the developers have to think about since the game is coming to consoles.

what about doing a dark souls type emote system for controller, like press select and have set emotes you can change yourself for like 5-6 slots???

That'd be cool. It would have to be either d-pad left or right, though. Select brings up the character wheel.
DegenKur0 Jun 19, 2017 @ 9:02am
i press up on Dpad to switch characters....unless you changed the controls it shouldnt be any different...
DegenKur0 Jun 19, 2017 @ 9:06am
look at darksouls emote screen...it has 5 different emotes preset that you can change out....and its all used with the select button, with an xbox one controller the controls are (LB = search, LB x2 = grafitti, RB = rewind, LT = tricks, slides, wallslides, grinds, and flips, LT x2 = Energy Charge, RT = jump, D-pad up = character selection, D-pad down = Camera switch, start = start (obviously)

It must be an alternate key. I have an XBox One controller and select (or however Microsoft calls it) brings up the character wheel.

more than one control may be linked to a button press up on the d-pad and see if it does anything cus it may just be a double synced control to 2 buttons, if thats the case select works perfectly for the emote system

i think left or right on dpad should be a module menu though.....like your character equipment screen
