Quelling Unrest, Riots and Upsrisings?
I wish I had a solution. How do you guys successfully stem any unrest?

Almost every time I play, (no matter what nation), I have some sort of unrest spark up. I try to create puppets, colonies, etc to keep my home country pretty homogenous. However, I do find extra land brings more resources and growth, and whatnot.

How do you guys stem:

Religious Riots
Political Riots

Is it just based off of Government Policies? Lately, I've been keeping militia in the areas and adjusting Government Policies - Just curious if I'm doing it wrong.

I am playing as Germany and for me very to no little riots have happened. Already 1916. I just put a lot of money into increasing nationalism. Maybe thats helping

You need to put more money into your government programmes like education and religion, that will stem the uprisings. When you go to each province it will tell you what is causing the uprising and just put more money into that programme.

Over time as you fund those political factions more the related radicalism will eventually drop to zero.

Ah. Gotcha! Thanks guys. I figured that was best, but didn't want to overfund those programs. That works!

I was also wondering about this, so this helped me as well. I just got the game recently and started playing as Italy (ultimate goal to become the Neo-Roman Empire muahahahaha), and like literally every single North African state that I have, which I took from the Ottomans, is rioting or there is unrest. Non-stop, pretty much literally, lol.

I tried putting a hospital in one state, and then a university in the next, thinking maybe that would quell some. But it didn't seem to make a difference compared to the other states.
