No trade path?
The GHQ has issues so I am posting here for now:

I am playing as Mongolia, just researched low rail density, I tried to build rails in every ore province and city province, but it consumed all my steel before it was over, I tried to cancel some of the projects, but I got no steel back at all so I am unable to continue building rails.

I can't trade either to get any steel because it says I have no trade path, therefore I am stuck in the pre-industrial age forever, because with no steel = no rails = no resources to produce steel factories when I have researched that, so there is no way of getting any resources at all.

If you build a rail to connect with the Russian or Chinese Trade Routes first then it will be possible to grow. Once the AI gets smarter, China and Russia will try to gain influence in exchange for trade and aid. Historically Mongolia was weak, low tech and isolated so it will not be an easy nation to play.

Thats what I tried to do, but I ran out of steel. If I were able to get back the resources I used when canceling the other rail projects, I would be able to trade.

I'm also trying Mongolia, neither China or Russia will allow trade routes as you seem to need rail and to get rail you must have 150 units of steel which you can't produce yourself because no rail. Will this change if I keep research?

Mongolia in 1912 was not in a position to industrialize. Ultimately, Mongolia as with some others, will require the assistance of more advanced nations in order to progress. We'll have a treaty that will allow nations to build and maintain infrastructure in other nations.

Not to be rude, but it seems kind of silly to add a country into a patch without being able to play as it.
