[Cheat] How To Take More Ress
If somebody wants to test anything and needs more ress, you can edit the savegame-files:

1. Look in the ordner saves for your savegame-file:
x:\Steam\SteamApps\common\The Great War\content\saves

2. Open the file "save" with an editor

3. Search your country:

[for example Germany]

<property name="strName" value="Germany"/>

[for example Russia]

<property name="strName" value="Russia"/>

4. Search for an ress

[Steel]

<property name="objResourceTemplate" value="sd.Steel"/>

[Fuel]

<property name="objResourceTemplate" value="sd.Fuel"/>

[etc]

5. Change the amount

<property name="nAmount" value="xxxxx"/>

6. Now save the file and load it

BE CAREFUL! YOU CAN MAYBE DESTROY YOUR SAVEGAME! SO MAKE AN BACKUP!

How do you do it? How do you find ordner files and the savegames? Maybe you can make a video?
Clausewitz Oct 12, 2015 @ 6:33am
I don't have this game still installed. So no video. But i can give you some more steps:

1. Go to your gamebibliothek in Steam
2. Look for your game
3. Press the right mousebutton on the game
4. Go to Local Data
5. Press the Button for the Local Path of your game
6. If nothing is changed in the game, you can go point to point my list above your comment.
( For searching in the savegamefile use [STRG]+[F] and then look for your country.

When this game was released, i had a lot of problems with too much ress. So be careful.

Or, you could create and edit a mod, go into nation info and do it that way.
Probably a lot easier and has no chance of corrupting your game files.

I don't see a "Local data" thing or a "Local path" thing. Also, is the gamebibliothek the games library?
Clausewitz Oct 13, 2015 @ 9:58am
Yes. Sorry, i have this in german, i don't know the correct english words now.

So game library -> right click on game -> attributes -> in new window click 3rd tab ("local data" or something) -> click first button ("search local data" or something)

You've helped me very much

Ok now next step: What do you mean by "opern saves with an editor", what is an editor? Is it saves.rar? Or sth else? And which saves folder
Clausewitz Oct 18, 2015 @ 5:15am
Windows has an Editor. Better you download "notepad++" and use it for open the save game. An Editor is like a simple writing program.
