Other Musou games on Steam
With Bladestorm, DW8:E, and supposedly SW4II coming to the PC, does anyone else here wish Koei would bring slightly older musou games to the PC? I've seen people mention Gundam, but what about.... Ken's Rage 2? :3

Nope. I want recent titles, specifically Dynasty Warriors Gundam Reborn. I'd prefer to have English VO, but I can live with the Japanese VO with English subtitles. Porting older games just requires more work and effort that could go into developing future games to actually release on PC from the start.
Anything with an anime/manga attachment requires additional licensing which makes it a bit less likely.

I know, but I can still dream, lol. I have KR2 on Wii U, but the framerate issues sometimes ruins it. x.x

I agree i would like some of the older musou games on steam.

for example i would love orochi warriors 3 ultimate to be on steam. Of course i have it on the PS3 but the frame rate being so low and drops make it unplayable.

Hell I got a PS4 for Orochi warriors 3 ultimate again but i would buy it for a 3rd time if it came to steam.

Dynasty Warriors 4 Hyper was the PC version of DW4. It was released early 2000's after the console version. You can find only high priced copies online now on Ebay and some on Amazon. Koei was smart, they would add this classic to Steam. Many Warriors fans only play the older games for obvious reasons; they were good. Now the series doesn't sell as well and English voices are being dropped from many products. If they need money and want fans outside Japan and happy ones, they would listen and bring the already PC versions onto Steam.

-Dynasty Warriors 4 Hyper
-Samurai Warriors 2
-Warriors Orochi 1
and many others

Warriors Orochi anything. I don't care which one it is, I'll still buy it.

- Dynasty Warriors Gundam Reborn
- Warriors Orochi 3 ultimate

Those two games i would buy in a instant.

Unrelated, but I would really like for J-Stars Victory Vs+ to come to Steam. That would be amazing.

I believe that has more to do with rarity rather than it being a good game if that's what you were implying and I believe with this generation of gamers, the game would either get mixed or negative ratings of reviews and (it'd actually be totally justified in this case) it'd be due to one thing... that stupid auto-lockon in DW4 that you can't turn off. If Koei would somehow add an option to toggle it, then it'd be ok.

I'd think we will more likely see another Orochi PC port (there was one way back) and Samurai Warriors - Gundam, unfortunately, might be unlikely due to it being co-published with Bandai Namco Games who own the Gundam license. I don't know if that would be an obstacle, but at the very least it would be harder for Koei than just porting games in their own franchises.

The first and Z were given PC ports, though Z was around the time Koei figured the games wouldn't do well in the West anyway, so Z was Japan only. Also if Rise of Incarnates is of any evidence, then Gundam is even an obstacle for Banco to bring.

One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 is confirmed for PC as well.

Now that DQ Heroes has been confirmed PS4 only in the West (skipping the PS3 version for some stupid ass reason), I'm hoping that Omega Force/Koei/Square Enix will end up bringing it on PC as well...

(I'm still salty by the fact that they decided to wait until release date in JP to announce the Western version..... right after my import copy shipped)

I would LOVE Warriors Orochi 3, and every DW Gundam game on steam =D, day 1 buy

I'd liike to see official PC releases of new/upcoming Musou titles, preferably with Japanese audio available (alongside multi-lang subtitles. English dubbing should be present for those who enjoy it, but not at the cost of additional localization time or licensing issues).

I'm certainly willing to contribute if quality versions of these titles, reasonably priced (and that includes DLC. Tons of DLC packs with insane costs for a handful of weapons, costumes etc...? No thank you.), come to PC. However, I would like to see online multiplayer brought about - especially if we're being asked to pay $30 or more per title.

Musou titles are often best with a friend and most of the console releases have supported both local multiplayer and online. Unfortunately, as we saw with DW8XLC and Empires, the latter has been removed here for PC. Koei doesn't need a full custom server system - simply integrate Steamworks and its easy to implement online multiplayer! Launching without this support is asking for many players to overlook their products.
