It's the main series, so it's probably the best one, yeah. Lots of content.

yes, it pretty much is.... still wish we'd get Orochi 3 though.

This game is pretty much widely recommended by folks as one of the best modern Dynasty Warriors.

As for Nintendo-based Warriors games, I only played Hyrule Warriors back when it originally released on the Wii U, and I personally prefer DW8 to that. I don't know what kind of improvements they've made to HW since then but at the time I played, I felt there were quality of life improvements from DW they could have added to HW and I was baffled as to why they didn't.

Look up gameplay videos if you want an idea of what you'll be getting. If anything, you have two hours of game time to decide if you want to refund it or not.

DW8 is great, definitely one of the best of the main Warriors series. However, I'd still place One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 as an overall better game. It's flashier, I think most of the characters' moves are more creative (since it's anime-based rather than barely-historical based), and I just think more fun to play.

I only played that one on PS4 though so I can't speak to how well it ported over here to PC.

i'll think about it

i wasted like 30 mins figuring out how to map buttons properly and i had an audio issue as well which i fixed and the tutorial didn't tell me how to command my units and it isn't as straight forward as it is in FE warriors

i think i'm just going to get a straight refund and get this on PS4 if i do want to play this game despite PC being my preferred platform since this port is terrible and its a PS3 port (done poorly)

Yeah Sengoku Basara was a dope PS2 game, never played later parts, but I guess they were cool as well. Too bad Capcom never bothered to port those on PC, but hopefully they'll make a new one sometime later.

They're up to 4, theres rumors there may be another game in the works. SB: Samurai Heroes on ps3/wii is Basara 3. But the overseas sales flopped, Capcom blamed the fans for it (and not, yknow, their complete lack of marketing), so it's unlikely they'll localize the series again. Of course I hope they will but I've had to import all three main titles released since 3.

Best musou game available on Steam is Samurai Warriors 4-II.

i'd honestly put one peice pirate warriors 3 into the ring of "best warriors game on steam" When I first played it, I hadn't watched any of one peice so that isn't a factor. if you arnt put off by it being one peice I feel like it had the best combat system of the warriors games. your classic square then triangle strings are all there but there are also Triangle strings. each character has a unique gimmick to play with that defines them and the dashing mechanic was amazing. you could cancel anny attack at any point with a dash, but the dash mnaintained your position in the combo. so for instance if you wanted to do SSST you could do SdashSdashSdashT. because you could dash at anny point it also meant you could psuedo karacancel into any attack you wanted at the drop of a hat. it would look like you just dashed really far into the charge attack you wanted. really really great game.
