Evolve Closed Beta?!?
I turned my PC and and steam started downloading the Evolve closed beta. I was in the first alpha, but never added any code for a beta. Was this automatic for the alpha participants? When will the beta be playable? Thanks!

playable beta on friday, all alpha participants got in.

Hey I got it too but I never signed up I just found it in my library for no reason is it because I have Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2?

But i was not in the Alpha and beta is in my library. Plus i havent pre orderd the game

If you have Left 4 Dead 2 or Bioshock Infinite you will get into the beta.

Didn't pre-order, didn't participate in Alpha, didn't even know of the game actually until suddenly I have the option to pre-load for a closed beta.

Only thought I have is I own a bunch of 2K games (Civ:BE, X-Com, etc. etc.).

Not complaining, and actually curious enough to maybe try it out if indeed I can for some reason participate in the closed beta, but just surprised.

you should though... if not, try restarting steam or use the steam-beta-client (works perfect). it just showed up last night in my library and i knew i can participate, just didn´t know when pre-load starts. now i´m ready to play from the beginning.

The Big Alpha started as a "closed" test with keys sent to people by email. So I'm assuming that this people who got in the Alpha by email, will get in the beta the same way.

If you got in the Alpha for owning X-Com, you should have access to the closed Beta, as well for owning Left 4 Dead and Bioshock Infinite. Try to restart Steam, if it doesn't appear in your library.

It should be a case of automatically appearing in your library for people that own one of the mentioned titles, unless Valve has messed something up.
