Shadow ring/Areph

Hi everybody,

I have a question related to an artifact I got from one of the Silver Orphans. Basically You can tell them about A.I. scattered around Edge Cliffs and in exchange You are given some stuff. I got a cage (presumabely an PST easter egg, there are quite of those BTW like NPC called O, a bronze sphere etc.) some powerfull ciphers and a ring called Areph which, as per description, should be part of something calles a Shadow Ring. I think that the other part might be obtained later in the game but I just want to make sure. So the question is: is the other part somewhere in Cliffs Edge or should I just wait for end release?

You can acquire the other half of the ring from Salimeri as a bonus if you are able to complete her quest without destroying all the Lazeret drones.

I don't what the artifact does but, I'm off to the Orphans to find out!

I think I've told the orphans about all the ai but they never gave me the other half of areph? anyone know where i can get it?

If you don't get it from the quests, it seems the second half also appears in a shopkeeper's inventory in Miel Avast

stats 4 resistence and adds 2 relative damage to all attacks.

1 is given from the orphans, 2. can be obtained from a quest for the Order of Truth or from a shopkeeper in Miel Avest. +2 damage and increased (4 or 5) resistance.

Do stats change if you use different methods, anyone know? Second tide affinity isnt that easy to get as might check.

I don't think that's quite it. 1 can be obtained from either the orphans or from the Order of Truth; 2 is always purchased from a shopkeeper.

The ring isn't that amazing either way - I prefer to use a trinket that grants a genuinely unique effect, like the Entanglement Rings, rather than one that just gives stat bonuses.

do you know if a way you forge the ring matters? I don't have 2 affinity so i cant check myself.

It does not matter. I might have provided inaccurate stats from memory, but I finished the game twice (once with nano once with jack) and I remember the stats were the same regardless which method You used. Go ahead and use brute force if needed :)

Yup, You are correct. 1st can be obtain either from Order of truth OR the orphans. 2. need to be purchased in MIel Avest. Sorry for the mix up
