Other similar games?
Is there a name for this kind of game? I know it's a "puzzle", but it's too generic. Is there a name for a filling-like puzzle like this? I would like to find other similar games, preferably with Linux support.

It is.
I'd suggest some I am willing to buy:
- SquareCells
- Hexcells / Hexcells Infinite
- Minimetro Mini Metro
- Knights
- Circuits

And I will venture to add these two:
- Solar Flux
- Evo Explores
- Zenge

It's not on Steam, but if you liked KAMI, you will definitely enjoy "Cobe The Gallery" by Grzegorz Reglinski, it's a free game on the Google Play Store. It's also a "filling-up" kind of game but with slightly different rules (you can only swipe straight lines of the same colour), and it gets quite challenging. I recommend it!
