Avenger or Deluxo?
Got 5 mil from grinding cayo and cannot decide between Avenger with turrets and Deluxo.

I'd think the Avengers the better choice as a utility because you can get a whole squad in there but at the same time I RARELY play with someone else consistently. I also have an MOC so from what I can tell there isn't a whole lot of need for the Avenger either, aside from some missions unlocked from it.

The Deluxo seems to have gotten more popular from my point of view and reasonably so. I have the trade price discount which would allow me to get it for 4.2 without upgrades, leaving 800k for whatever else.

Any recommendations?

if you've played Doomsday Act 1 Signal intercepts setup mission you'd know that the Deluxo is super slow when hovering in higher altitudes and apart from that mission you can't use it in any other heists. The only reason why its popular is because of a certain Hollywood movie.

Avenger for the new missions.

Why not just grind more and buy both

I really like the Avenger but I never see much use out of it other than goofing off in. I haven't touched the new content that requires it yet so I don't know what it's really got going for it besides being a joy to drive.

Deluxo moves very slow. I recommend buying a Buzzard if you don't have one yet!

Between the two I'd take the Avenger, just because it's required as a gate to other content.

Different vehicles, different purposes...

The Avenger is awesome for quickly transporting a vehicle, any vehicle, from one side of the map to the other. And yes, I know you can also use any kind of aircraft for that (like the CEO Buzzard, spawns close to you as well) and then recall your personal vehicle later but... IMO it's fun.

Then, as someone already mentioned above: for an extra 1.4 million you can get the command terminal which gives you access to the new missions. If you're still somewhat new then I think those can be fun to have. And while you may not often play with others; you can easily switch the Avenger to autopilot (= it'll hoover in the air) and then hop into the inner area to take control of some of the guns yourself. Fun fact: you can switch between all turrets from one control post, so you'll always have full control. ... assuming you'll buy all turrets; it's all extra costs.

Bonus: since you have the MOC you could consider removing its customization bay and then replace it with a car storage. The advantage of that is easier access to any personal vehicle. For example... maybe a bit ironic but when I need my Deluxo I use the context menu: MOC => Personal vehicle to call it in.

Keep in mind: all extras will also cost you extra money.

Speaking of the Deluxo.... it's a fun vehicle but hardly as versatile as, say, the Oppressor Mk2. It flies rather slow, is most certainly weaker than an Avenger but if you mostly play solo I can easily see how this might be more fun (and maybe cheaper too!) to start.

I think it also depends on what you enjoy doing... If you like playing plenty of missions then I can definitely recommend the Deluxo because... it's weaponized and it can fly which gives you a bit of an advantage. And it will probably be cheaper.

But the Avenger gives you access to quick vehicle transport, the new missions (provided you can squeeze out an extra 1.4 million) but.. those new missions won't be easily making you much money back. Fun to do (IMO) but they also quickly become tedious.

Hope this can give you some ideas... in the end I agree with Solo up there: you'll want both!
