Getting rid of broken gun lockers
There is a very long time bug with gun lockers. If you buy certain gun lockers they will mess up your weapon wheel and show weapons that are supposed to be hidden.

QUESTION: How do I get rid of defective gun lockers I already bought?

I know that I could move the business and lose all of the upgrades, but that would be extremely expensive, even if I first move to the cheapest and then back to my location.

In case it is useful to others, this is what I found out by googling.

Known defective (never buy):
- Office
- Bunker
- Clubhouse
- Facility, included in the security room renovation
- Nightclub, included in security upgrade
- Arena workshop (and it comes with the property... so don't buy the property!!!)
- MOC is broken but does not mess up the others.

Know working:
- Avenger weapon workshop
- Arcade personal quarters
- Penthouse office expansion
- Kosatka weapon workshop

Weapons that cannot be hidden (avoid getting):
- Firework launcher
- Navy Revolver from the Los Santos Slasher challenge (don't do the challenge)

None of mine are bugged and I own all of them. I actually have been exclusively going to the bunker to mod my weapons and wheel.

I told you in the other thread, you have to buy a new property. If you got the ceo office for example and purchased a locker, you have to buy a different office and this time don't buy the locker. You can then buy your original one again if you want, without the locker. Edit: It's an expensive fix for sure, but a fix none the less and it works, I tested it with the ceo office.

You can't use your custom weapon loadout in missions and heists though.

The cost of doing that - for my current finances in the early game - is brutal.

I made this thread in the hope of finding a more reasonable solution. Or are you suggesting that I should rely on glitches to earn the tens of millions that it would cost to use your method to fix what is a clear bug in the game that in almost a decade R* did not fix and likely never will?

So... I am hoping somebody else here will have a better option.

There is no other "legit" solution sadly. I can't even recommend any glitches because I haven't had to rely on any in a long time and don't know any current safe ones. The safest would be heist repeat glitches but those are merely tolerated at best and can easily be tracked by R* should they choose to do so. I personally don't do them.

Doing Cayo is the safest and fastest option.

TBH this game is a total custer-f*. I have no idea why I bother with it.

I feel you man, I really do. If you do go down the glitch route don't do them back to back. Glitch it, do some other stuff then go back and glitch it again so your transaction log doesn't look too obvious.

I seriously doubt I would break down and glitch. It is not my style even if I could do it without getting caught. Heck, even Cayo isn't my style, I hate repetitive play and I'd rather do miscellaneous heists and sales (mine and theirs) with my crew, it is more fun. The most grinding I do (still doing) is Agency Contracts to reach the 200 that give you long term passive income, but I get bored fast and have to switch to other things.

My mention of glitches was a reaction to Hellsmoke's tone/zing about his response "on the other thread" when in this on I was looking for a proper solution (that apparently doesn't exist).

And partly it was sarcasm because I suspected he'd answer that there is no "legit" way to fix what is a R* screwup. The only solutions are (1) to rely on glitches and NOT be legit even though all you would have used it for is to correct one of the many ways the games bugs steal millions (tens of millions in this case) and not to profit in any way. (2) To actually lose the tens of millions.

It is a very sad situation and a very sad company. I paid for this game but hell will freeze over before I spend more than $20.00 on GTA 6 unless it's been on the market for 2 years, there are plenty of objective reviews AND the game has at that point no "convenient" bugs that rob players over and over.

All of weapons can be properly hidden in freemode, but some people get OCD when they can't get weapons hidden even in missions and old heists. Given how most of people spend most of time in freemode anyways, I at least don't really care about it.

I don't spend most of my time in freemode. Especially since you can't even do anything in free mode due to all the modders. That may be the case on console but definitely not here on PC. If you spend most of your time in freemode you must like getting screwed by modders non stop. Even if you play exclusively invite only, I still like having a clean weapon wheel with the weapons I want on it.

As for that OCD, the controls in this game are already horrendous. The last thing I want is to spam a button past 10 different pistols in a car to get to my AP pistol in a mission just to press one button too many and have to start from the beginning. I press one button and have my AP pistol, I press another and have my C4. Simple and clean and that is what the weapon locker was designed for, if it would work properly.

As for "all weapons can be hidden" yes and no. On console I can't hide that pistol either as well as a few others. It depends on where and how you got those weapons and there are bugs involved that I don't even think we have figured out yet.

It's an easy fix for this multi-billion dollar company and a much needed qol feature if it would actually work. Let us sell the damn weapons, as a matter of fact you know what, let me throw that garbage away. Not even that is allowed. "You can't drop this weapon", screw you R*. It's not OCD, it's expecting better from a multi-billion dollar company that treats their customers like crap. This bug has been a thing since forever and is documented everywhere and they still refuse to acknowledge it.

You can scroll weapons both ways. Rebind useless mouse wheel radio to reverse weapon switch. Also good idea is to keep your AP as starting weapon in lobby menu.

I play with a controller on a huge tv in my living room, I'm not scrolling anything. Since you can't pvp on pc I don't see the benefit in using the mouse. Vehicles drive much better with a controller, it isn't even close.
