about 2 days ago i saw a thread here that explained how you can obtain armored clothing for your heist team.
where to buy it and which one exactly, that it slows you down a little but you can take more dmg etcetc. and how to save it and have other people wear it during your heist.

dont suppose anyone knows which thread im talking about?
cant find it anymore and i really wanted to try it out

Are you talking about body armor? Never heard of armored clothing.

It's heist heavy - go to the clothes shopping and to the counter to browse outfits - save them on your personal outfits after

If you go to any of the clothing shops walk up to the npc and browse the outfits. In there you will find something like "heavy outfits" or "heavy heist" - something along these lines.
Then during heists if the host puts the settings to allow the players to choose their own outfits you will be able to select that one - and it will let you know that you can't run but you can get hit a bit more.
I don't think that bonus works in free roam.

Edit: as stated above

You cant force other members to use it and if they haven't bought it they can't wear it. They sure make the heists and missions easier and less expensive because you don't spend as much money on armor vests.

Its just for looks, there is no armor beside the Vests.
If you don't buy/equip a vest, then u have no armor.

Heavy Suit. 50% dmg reduction on heist.
Go in any clothes shop. Talk to the seller. Find the heavy outfit :D

How to save it, the only way i found out is by going in your apt. Go at the place where you can change your clothes, and then you will see a button at the bottom of the screen : Edit saved outfit. Make sure you save the outfit with heavy suit.

When hosting the heist, make sure the clothing is set to player saved outfit.

so you only need the vest and not the whole outfit?

also, does a bulletproof helm protect you too? .. i heard that it prevents headshots

Yes, it takes 3 direct headshot for you to die.
Direct headshot= Center of your head

You can also save it directly at the shop with the same button.

Also, Fun Fact:
The Armor Vests also reduce the damage taken from smoking cigarettes!

Gotta find a host who actually allows player saved outfits, usually the kids chose cute little matching outfits over actual functuality.

Thats because the outfits are purely cosmetic in 95% of the game, and there is almost no indication that this is any different in a heist.

You also can not sprint when wearing it but the 50% less damage is a good trade-off.

you can hop to offset the loss of speed. its much better to have the DR cause the enemys in this game can hit you regardless if how fast you are
