I just lost $200,000 in story mode, a random event NPC... O_o

So I was playing as Franklin and had $200,000 in his bank... Well I stole a really good sports car and spent that $200,000 upgrading the car... I was on my way to my garage to store the car, but I saw a blue dot (a random event)... I thought, why not, I did get $100,000 from the last random event I did with Trevor. So I stopped the car, and this guy wearing an orange jumpsuit came out of the bushes and was asking for a ride. I thought, SWEET, I will drop off this NPC for some easy cash! Well when he got closer he pulled out a gun, pulled me from my driving seat an drove off with my ♥♥♥♥ING SPORTS CAR!!! LEAVING ME WITH NOTHING!!! Zero money in the bank and zero car to show for it!!! I mean, WTF!!!!!

I lost 2 fully upgraded cars I stole yesterday, one on Trevor and one on Michael. Funny thing is I lost them both by sinking them under water. I couldn't figure out how to get them back so I just let it go... lol

(Edit: (Spoiler) I beat the game so I got that nice 24mil chunk of cash so not that big of a deal)

That's actually pretty funny. I was playing Saints Row 2 one time, and had JUST bought a brand new car at a dealership. The car appeared, and a guy walking by hopped into it and drove away! Lol.

My story is worse: I spent at least that much money on a car in single player, went to put it in the garage and had to move something out of the way so I could drive in, and literally the car was out of my line of sight for less than 5 seconds and never more than 5 feet away... and it DISAPPEARED.

Ive had that happen too. If the car is not on your screen (Ie swivel camera 360 degrees) and poof when you turn back around its gone... lol
