GTA:O Driving skill not shown correctly
When I'm in a matchmaking lobby, it shows my driving skill to the left as being less than one bar, yet when I'm in free roam my driving is almost capped.

What gives? Am I missing something?

I'm asking to see if there's different skills for free roam vs lobbies and to see if anyone else has the issue.

The problem is not that it bothers him, the problem is that it actually changes how you drive. I'm capped myself, and everywhere beside in the heist setup i'm nothing but a sunday driver. Which means your car can blow up from even small jumps. I took a random completely un damaged car, drove it from a small jump and it just blew up when i touched the back end on the ground.
So yes, it does affect how the driving...

Driving

The player's skill behind the wheel or handlebars. Pop wheelies more easily and retain more control while airborne. Increase this skill by holding wheelies and landing squarely out of big jumps. Every second spent in the air while driving the Driving skill will raise by 1%. Also every successful Stunt Jump gives the player around of 2 or 3%. It can also be increased simply by driving vehicles without hitting anything. Driving head-on into oncoming traffic going the opposite way, without hitting any cars raises this as well.

So no, having a low driving skill will not make your car blow up vs having a high driving skill. All it affects is the players ability to pop wheelies and to control vehicals in the air after jumps.

Too bad it actually does affect it, done plenty of jumps with both my high level character, then made a low level one and the cars blew up. Sadly the driving skill does affect how easily cars blow up, you can't do high jumps with low level driving skill without risking the car blowing up. While if you're max on it you can just jump till you feel like it. But when the game is just mix and matching between them there is a lot of problems. You can try it yourself, from doing the same jumps as low and high level character the driving skill DOES affect that.
