Ways to reliably and repeatedly make money(single player)?
I have been reading like crazy about this game, but most of the stuff about getting money on a reliabel and repeatable way are either out-dated or inaccurate. My question is if any of you are aware of some way to make money, or if there was any change of strategy regarding the stock market after the dozens of patches.

Any help would be appreciated, thx

Was this ever answered for you anywhere else? or did you find anything out?

I'm loving GTA5 on pc. It's running like adream and looks amazing etc.. but it seems like no matter what I do (races/side missions/etc) I never seem to make a lot of money.

I see that some of the properties go for insane amounts. I think one even said $30M dollars on the price tag.

Am a poor capitalist. Need pro tips :(

I take it you didn't get the preorder, and therefore don't have the $500k to play with?

By the time I'd finished story mode, each Frank, Michael & Trover has around 800mil each.. If played right..

Only other way, finish story mode, THEN do the assasination, and play the stock market, each char should end up with roughly $40mil by the end of the story, just invest that into the stock markets, using the assasination tutorial, on places like IGN or wherever.

Stock trading is the way to go. I failed to realize that I should have waited with the assassination missions until after the main story is done, but even then, in less than 2 days I stock traded my way from 20 mil to 280 mil.

My method was finding a stock on lcn that was really cheap (lifeinvader for example), then investing everything in it, quicksaving and sleeping. If the stock dropped, reload the save and try again, if it rose, quicksave and sleep again. The lcn randomizer seems to be reset every load.

After making about 10 mil on a single stock the trick usually stopped working, so I sold, reinvested in a different stock, rinse and repeat.

GTA V
Do missions and do stuck trading, to earn start up capital you can steal and sell cars for some easy money. Also the collectoboll missions are quite profitable.

GTA Online
Do missions (type of job, missions payout higher and higher amounts of money based on the length of the mission capping out I believe around 16 minutes. )

For maximum payout is as follows.

Hard Difficulty, mission takes 16+ minutes.

In addition to this, the only way to increase the cash further is having more players in the game with 3 other players giving an additional 30% more to the money payout.

The other way to make money of course is grind out heist setups and heist missions. However these require other players to even start.

The best way to reliably gain money solo is through Mission Jobs.

Follow IGN's assassination stock guide you'll be fine after using that.

Yeah, I was aware of the lester assassination way. I was just wondering if there was a repeatable way that didn't rely on taking advantage of internet knowledge for meta-gaming.

Also, stealing and selling cars? Can I really do that? Awesome, I take it its on the los santos customs. If so, thanks for the tip, panic fire.

I just beat the game, so I'm kind of rich right now and am going to cheese it out on lester assassinations to become a billionaire or whatever, but still, thanks to everyone for replying, and feel free to keep commenting on-topic.

On a side note: Does anyone know if BAWSAQ is working properly already?

bawsaq works on single but not online.

I'm aware of that. But last time I messed around with bawsaq, the stock I invested in stayed frozen for several days.

Did you manage to succesfully use bawsaq?

If you mean use it fine on Single yes. Part of IGN's guide to the assassination stock requires using LCN and Bawsaq.
if you buy the sonar dock each nuclear waste you pick up in the ocean gives you 23,000 and there are 30 of them. if you purchase the hangar in blaine county and do the arms trade missions, each dune buggy drop is 5,000 and each plane drop is 7,000. car scrap yard gives you a couple hundred so that's not really worth purchasing. purchasing the weed store on the far left of the map gives you income and missions to do. buying the downtown cab company also gives you a regular income and cab fare missions on top of that. the bars and nightclubs give you a weekly income of a couple thousand as well, you can also rob convenient stores - with a planned getaway you can do this repeatedly. also, there are tons of armored vans throughout the map. drive around and they will show up as a blue dot on your map - sticky bomb the back doors and grab the cash - should be a couple thousand.

when people are robbed track the robber down, kill him and take the money - don't return it.
drive around the entire map until a blue dot shows up that is a woman about to be buried alive. if you save her and drive her to her drop off point she will wire 60,000 to your bank account.
don't stop for people in bushes, and be prepared to fight if you chase a person in need around a corner. if you stop to help a robbery you can either help them for a new contact or kill them for a couple hundred thousand.

And where do you sell those cars exactly in story mode?

Auto shop - Los Santos Customs.
if you plan on playing the stock market there is an app to download for itunes that tells you exactly when to sell your stock for maximum profit.

Do final heist. Then do assassination missions for a end game of 800+mill per character.

Online: do heists.
