Hatred towards rockstar games
This company is probably ranked top 5 worst companies in my books. It's been a decade playing gta 5 online and it has been the worst gaming experience ever hands down. From griefing cheaters to constant crashing to people de ranking you or stealing your weapons out of your inventory. Now 10 years later they do a graphic overhaul not even a year before gta 6 release (supposedly). Now i understand their work load being such a big company with many successful games. But to me it is clear during the time ive played gta online there hasn't been an ounce of care for the player base and the actual enjoyment of the game. The shark cards are a complete scam to the point I'm not sure anyone even actually buys them. You go over to red dead 2 online it's the same game. Cheaters and griefing. Owned by the same company, a company who half asses everything and updates games way too late. Everyday i log onto steam i see updates for gta and they're the worst ideas ever to man they stayed far away from what gta actually means to people. From flying motorcycles to underwater cars to hovering aircraft. I mean the game is basically a ADHD child's playground to train their brain to accept Brainrot. The game since 2015 has been a ♥♥♥♥ show a complete failure in my opinion. Scam their player base, allow infinite amount of cheaters, even after a "anti-cheat update", to me updating the graphics and changing the name to gta 5 legacy only puts the nail in the coffin for me. I will
Not be playing this ♥♥♥♥ game anymore. 5000 hours across Xbox and pc and the most enjoyment i got when was the game crashed and i turned it off. Rockstar games is a classic example of pump and dump content and constantly put their game on sale for $15 so people will still buy it because they know it's worth nothing anymore to anyone.

Ok first off, please don't use the word scam. Every example you used it in is wrong. In order for it to be a scam, R* would have had to defraud you. You got in-game money, correct? Yes? Then it ain't a scam.

Second, no online multiplayer game in 2025 is gonna be cheater-free. Let's not kid ourselves. I have noticed a decrease in cheaters though. They are not populated in the lobbies like they used to. They are still there don't get me wrong, but the free ones, and the stupid ones are gone. It's only the ones who pay to cheat exist.

As for the game being better in 2015, I wasn't there. But, hearing from other players, I can tell you that it wasn't for them. Day 1 of Online, the servers died constantly. Cheaters were there too. Nothing to really keep players interested. Players had to spam rob the convenience stores to make money. Now, going to 2015, there was more things to do, heists in particular, but no big paying heists.
Even though I definitely have my criticism towards GTA V and some of the DLC's which I consider to be "lazy" I also think that R* are actually one of the more fair companies when it comes to MMO's like this.

I mean... I (re)started playing in 2019 when I finally moved from PS3 to Steam and obviously GTAO became part of that. Now, time of writing, I'm approx. level 720, I got 150million in the bank and own pretty much all properties you can get.

Fun fact: I did so mostly on my own. While I did sometimes purchase a shark card after R* released a DLC which I really enjoyed (like the Agency!) I did most of this stuff fully on my own. Most MMO's don't allow you to earn DLC access through in-game efforts, just saying.

Nah I'm gonna call it how i see it is a scam, you don't have to be de frauded for it to be a scam it just has to be an unfair trade, i trade my time for fun on the game and got zero so yes it's a scam, for you To defend this trash company is comedy to me. Obviously no online game in 2025 is gonna be cheater free that's just an obvious claim. But to say charging $50 for a couple million when you could just download a free cheat menu everyone uses to give yourself billions. It's a scam guy, the shark cards the claims of fixing anti cheat, it's all false. There is zero chance you go in online lobbies and see zero cheaters it's just not possible. For you to say you see barely cheaters is just not true. I've been in online lobbies in the last week each had more than one cheater. You said yourself you were not there in 2015 the game came out in 2013 that means you were not there when online came out. So technically you don't know old gta 5 online and you don't know ♥♥♥♥.

Level 720 with zero menu is honestly a great feat no lie. You must've had some hard times on this game grinding that hard. I get your view but still to me it's not like that at all. I've been here since gta 5 was born and it's just gone downhill. If you're a person who can look past all the negatives which it seems like you are then this game shouldn't be an issue. But for a decade old game and a decade of various updates with a development team that supposedly is godly. I don't see anything that makes it worth it to keep playing. You could've easily downloaded a cheat menu and got everything you have in a minute or less. To me in a game where weapons, level and equipment means winning and dominating the lobby. It's just not worth the grind anymore. Especially when easily 50% of people are cheating somehow.
