Never any interactive elements added to the world, more minigames, more interactable buildings (like diners to eat at), places to sit around the map. Just to name a few ideas.
What they've done is good, don't get me wrong, but I feel as though this game could've been so much better of a experience for 10 years worth of updates.
I come to that conclusion based on the early days... back then you'd get a call when a new feature got out. Arena workshop, nightclub, terrorbyte I think even the hangar. On its own this was actually a pretty good idea I think: immersive to have someone calling you, and you'd immediately learn about the new features.
Yet it seems no one at R* tried to think this through... the game didn't bother to register that you already got a call, so... what happens if a new player would hop on and have to experience all those phonecalls at once? Every single time they log on?
Who could have known that all those calls would add up? Anyone who'd stop to think about the mechanic for a second I'd say, but not R*!
Or how about specific designs... take the arena workshop. By itself it's an interesting idea for sure... just too bad that all those cars which are presented as super powerful are in fact... pretty useless outside the arena. Heck, trying to shoot a civilian car with those huge mounted machineguns still makes it look as if you're shooting an armed car.
Which makes these arena cars totally useless outside the arena... surely it shouldn't be too hard to predict that this wouldn't go over too well, especially because most of your arena rewards are based on unlocking car upgrades; the actual payment is mediocre.
I definitely agree with the stripclub... or how about giving us an option to buy a house with a swimming pool? Or... making more current missions better accessible for single players? There's really no reason for the old-gen heists to remain limited at 4 players, even 2 can do those... heck, even 1.
It doesn't have to be easy... take the casino mini-heist (trying to save it from the Duggans?). I did those by myself and the shootout at the vineyard was seriously brutal.. I had to replay that a few times as well, but who cares? I had a really good time!
Same for the Madrazo dispatch missions.
But it seems R* still doesn't realize that a vast majority of players enjoys their solo games just as much as going into things with friends.
Heck: being able to play stuff solo will also make you better when playing together. Win-win, right? Guess R* never saw it that way or.. my opinion: they never stopped to think about it.
There's a ton of missed opportunities... how about having 'El Rubio' reach out to Franklin to start an investigation into the current chain of robberies? Even placing an extra camera didn't help, surely Franklin can help out? ;)
That would be one heck of a storyline and a possible twist as well.
Maybe even use it to stage yet another robbery, maybe without Frankling knowing? ;)
nope nothing new here, they made limited time content for the strip club, wish I never won the unicorn mask and the shirt from the wheel.
They should really add STD;s and perma death to gta online, so if you get infected by a prostitute, your online character dies and you lose everything just like getting banned.
The thing I love most about these types of people is that they're often throwing stones while living in a glass house.
Besides, who's the victim? The person who's willfully working the job or the person who's getting bilked for hundreds of dollars just to see a few tatas?
