Cayo: How can I get this secondary target safely?

Have 2 secondaries of coke at the North Docks, so I'm doing a Long Fin entry approach. When I arrive at the North Dock, one of the jeep patrols is just circling and leaving the area. I run over to the first secondary target. It's on the backside of the first building closest to shore (chain link fence faces the secondary water tower on the island).. you have to break a lock on a chain link gate to get to the target and there is a patrol nearby that won't hear/see you cutting the lock with your torch, but apparently hears the gate opening from the other side of a shipping container and I get caught as soon as I open the gate to go inside.. no matter where the patrol is at..

So that means I need to KO the patrol right? Okay, did that.. got both secondaries.. made it back to my boat and was half way to the drainage tunnel when I'm guessing a jeep patrol found that patrol KO'd outside the first secondary.. All I know is I'm driving my boat without a care in the world, or a red dot on my minimap, and then all of a sudden in my upper left corner "Use G to equip a mask."

Such BS.. caught if I kill the guard, caught if I don't.. how can this be done without getting caught?

It can't, Cayo has been broken for quite some time now; guards around the docks can now see way beyond their cone of vision and will often spot you through walls too, sometimes even two!

And as you noticed: bodies now get detected outside as well, just to make it more "exciting" I guess, esp. since we can't pick up bodies to move 'm afterwards for some reason.

These days I only focus myself on the airstrip & main dock for my secondary objectives, which I only grab during entrance (because the cone issue seems to be somewhat less extreme then and you don't have to kill guards there).

I feel like when I KO'd the patrol, and was omw to the drainage tunnel, it was that jeep patrol that found the body.. so better question is does anyone know how many jeep patrols visit the north docks? I think there's a total of 4~5 jeep patrols, but not sure how many stay inside the compound, how many stay outside the compound, and how many go between both by passing through the gates..

but I guess I could just load up the heist and recon this for an hour.. but IDK how I'd mark the jeeps to keep count..

If your doing it solo best just get longfin go to the airport first there's always enough there to fill your bag

It is probably possible to loot the secondaries in other areas like the North dock and the main dock but you would often need bolt cutters and it takes way longer than if you went to the airstrip.
It took me almost 15 min to loot the main dock vs 10 min or less if I went to the airstrip

do you even need to go there? I mean all you need is one more soloplayer then you could grab gold instead

I did it! Took me 8 or 9 tries, but I finally did it..

Took the long fin in along the coast line near the anti-aircraft bunker and took cover waiting for the first jeep to circle back and head away from me, up the road along side of the secondary water tower. Easily shot him in the back of the head with a well lined up shot as he was moving away heading the same way I was facing.

Next I killed the patrolling guard by the fence I previously had issues with, stole first target. I ran to the next target and waited for the patrol to position at the bottom of the shed (closer to the docks) and then enter back into the shed area and head up towards the main road side of the shed. Ran in and KO'd him before he could get past the secondary target, clear out of view of incoming jeep patrol.

Waited for the next jeep to arrive and clipped the driver as he was making his turn by the front of the docks. Killed the last guard on the ground, the guard in the tower.. and the loot was free for the taking. I even made it to the drainage tunnel, through the compound, and out without getting detected.. I did sound the alarms as I jumped off the cliff into the water and detonated the sticky bombs I placed on Rubio's Heli.. but still scored elite..
