Nightshark Window Plating
Do the window armor plates actually change anything or do I just trade my cash and stickybombs for visuals?

Its a mix of both. The plating makes the window smaller, so it's harder to hit you similar to the Kuruma, and if they hit the plating it does stop shots. The window isn't bullet-proof, though, so you CAN still be killed.

Well, heavy plating give you more protection but as a result they'll also prevent you from using your hand weapons while inside.

so it is actually functional, good to know

As far as I know, they don't give you any additional actual vehicle protection, but it'll be harder for players to shoot you through the windows.

is it a "the plating actually blocks shots" typa deal or "it literally shows less of you so that kinda helps" typa deal

Pretty sure the amor plating on the windows are only functional at the front of the car.
As the side windows seem to be cosmetic, or atleast are far easier to shoot through.

Either way, Nightshark is a must have in... today's environment, difference is mostly if you want plating at the front or if you want the ability to have drive-by weapons as stated before because you'll only have the terrible machineguns with the armor plating on.

I will probably keep it without window plating, since it can handle so many homing missiles, it's a must have if you wanna counter mk2s with stickies or a revolver or the AP
window plating does nothing
with it fully armored the same amount of bullets still get in as if it were not armored
full plating makes it so you cant use personal weapons so just leave it off so you can use personal weapons

armor plating is really a negative on this car and it hurts you but helps your opponent since you cant shoot back xD
now if you want a good bullet proof car get the half track it maybe slow but it can take 15 explosive hits and is bullet proof from the front

then theres the moc cab can take 28 explosive hits

and the fully loaded ruiner can take 40 explosive hits

The Nightshark can take an entire Mk. II's worth of rockets, and then some. The Mk. II has I think 20 missiles, and the Nightshark takes 22.
yep also that
but since nightshark only excels at countering rockets
why not a vehicle that excels at both bullets and rockets

and an overpowered gun on the back for a 2nd player as well

the combine it with the AA trailer for 3 or more players XD

most players you face are going to know to spray you with minigun or laser weapon or maybe combat MG as you approach since thats always been standard procedure against Insurgents and that plating, even if it does help against small arms, will help you zero against those weapons. Makes far more sense to go without the plating and be able to shoot your AP pistol or throw explosives.
