Cayo Perico Heist
Its not 1+ millions per hour is it? If so can you tell how long the whole loop takes? Including any and all cooldowns if there are any like the ones for normal heists(you cant start the same heist for 1 day after you finished it etc).

Can you also tell me your grind routine if you have any, i want to compare mine with what other players are doing, i feel like im earning money extremely slow seeing random dudes on youtube having couple hundred billions on their characters claming they have been playing for 1-2 years. Thank you.

Thank you, and how much these costs you mention? Excluding the submarine. In short, Tell me the total amount of money i need to have to just start getting 1 million per hour by doing this heist right away.

The only thing that you need to do the heist is the Kosatka[gta.fandom.com] submarine, which costs 2.2 million (1.65m$ right now, because it's on sale this week for 25% off).

Getting a sparrow[gta.fandom.com] (upgrade for the Kosatka) helps a LOT because it can dock with your sub (there's a special place for it inside). This costs ~1.8m$. If you have a buzzard[gta.fandom.com], it can do in a pinch, landing on top of the Kosatka, but you have to be careful so that it doesn't slip off into the water (this is what I did before buying a sparrow; it doesn't go -in- the sub like the sparrow, but if you're careful when landing, it'll just stay outside).

If you have a sea sparrow[gta.fandom.com], that might also work, I guess? I'm not sure how much it'd drift away while you're inside the sub.

After the heist, you lose 10% of your total take as a fencing fee, and a small amount (~20-50k$, I'm not sure the exact %./calculation) as a fee to Pavel, who's your helmsman in the sub (he comes with the sub).

This week (January 14 – 20), the Kosatka and its upgrades (including the sparrow) are 25% off[socialclub.rockstargames.com], so this is a great time to get them. The buzzard and sea sparrow are 40% off, too, if you're interested.

If you don't have any of those three helicopters, I'd suggest prioritizing the (non-sea/regular) sparrow that can dock with the Kosatka. You buy it by "renovating" your Kosatka (it counts as an upgrade), not by buying it separately.

Without a helicopter (especially the sparrow), doing the prep missions will take a lot more time. You basically only have to do the heist once to be able to afford a sparrow, though, so it's not too bad (-maybe- twice if you're unlucky with heist spawns and you spent -all- your money buying the sub).

You give 2% for Pavel and fencing fee is 12%

Here's a example of a Hard Mode + Elite Challenge pay.
The main loot fot this run was the Ruby Necklace and gave me $1,478,910 net profit.
The amount can vary for around 100k depending on your hidden safe loot and secondary loot.

Tequila gives from 1.3m to 1.4m net profit.
Ruby Necklace gives 1.4m to 1.5m net profit.
Bonds gives 1.5m to 1.6m net profit.
Diamond gives 1.7m to 1.8m net profit.

1.3 million net profit is the minimum you make with this heist when done properly.

2% checks out, thanks. It's 10% for the fencing fee, though, looking at my past heists that I took screenshots of. 12% total, fencing fee + pavel.

Thank you, last question, is Sparrow mandatory? If not how long would the whole heist(including setups) take me to finish it on foot/with vehicles on the island(?) compared to with Sparrow?

I have a buzzard, i dont know anything about this heist. Pardon my retarded questions if they are.

These numbers after the fencing fee and pavel's cut etc right? Also, last question, is Sparrow mandatory? If not how long would it take me to finish it on foot/with vehicles on the island(?) compared to with Sparrow?
Yes, these numbers are the net profit, after discouting the fencing fee and pavel's cut, as shown in the screenshot.

Without the Sparrow, with land vehicles only, I would probably double that time. Maybe 2 hours.

Sparrow is your priority. Do the Cayo heist two times to get enough money to buy it and upgrade it with missiles.

Definitely not required, but highly recommended.

If you don't have one you'll need to find a good way to go from and to the sub, you could use the dinghy for that, maybe combined with the Buzzard (CEO vehicle?) because you can also spawn that instantly.

The best part here is that both the Buzzard and the dinghy will stay in the lobby, and as long as you don't move the sub you should be fine with landing the buzzard on top of it, go in, start next mission, go out and back into the buzzard.

Can't really say how much longer it'll be but definitely not hours.

The sparrow is not mandatory, it just helps a lot.

It changes nothing for the heist finale (you don't get to use the sparrow/buzzard in the finale itself), but it allows you to do the prep missions much quicker.

You basically have to go back to your submarine between each one, and the submarine is in the water (of course).

A buzzard is almost as good, though, so if you have that, that's already excellent.

If you're careful (it gets easier with practice, of course), you can land your buzzard on the tip of your submarine, just by the entrance. It's just more fiddly than with the sparrow (with the sparrow, you just have to fly over your sub and press E, and you'll automatically dock).

If you're not parked correctly, your buzzard can slip off and fall into the water, getting destroyed; there's a cooldown of a few minutes before you can call it again.

Included with your submarine is a dinghy, which you can call to your location. So if your buzzard gets destroyed/you need to get to shore from your sub and your buzzard's not on your sub, you can call a dinghy and get to/from shore with that.

The "important/necessary" prep missions for the "optimal heist approach" (drainage tunnel, pure stealth) are quite quick and easy once you know what to do. If you want to do a different approach, though, keep in mind that doing this heist can take a LOT longer.

Also don't expect your first try to be quick. There are a lot of stumbling blocks along the way when it's all new.

The first time I did the heist, I did -all- the prep missions, just to see what they were like and keep my options open. Doing that is absolutely not necessary, but it can be fun to do at least once. This takes a lot of time, of course.

I'd also recommend taking your time scouting the island the first few times, just to get a good understanding of what's what. Again, this is not necessary, but can be fun, though it can take a -lot- longer.

The thing about this heist is that there's a very specific way of doing it which is very quick and efficient and basically skips tons of the options. You can certainly keep doing that over and over and over again, but it's likely to get boring pretty quickly.

There are a lot of optional/sub-optimal approaches which can break up that monotony and make things interesting.

I wouldn't recommend looking at this yet because it contains a lot of spoilers, but here's a map of the island with the locations of all the interesting/useful things:

https://www.reddit.com/r/gtaonline/comments/knz9rz/the_cayo_perico_intel_map_now_with_daily_treasure

Up to you to decide if/when you want to look at that.

Oh dont worry about that, its not like i was having fun before this, doing exact same things for 12 hours everyday for a couple of days just to get enough money to get an office, warehouse, vehicle warehouse and upgrade them all.

Thank you all for the infos, i really appreciate it.

Hah! Funny how this game manages to fool us into running like hamsters on a wheel, isn't it?

If you're looking for the absolute most efficient way of making money in GTAO right now, though, then yeah... this is it.

Well, maybe take a break and try to have fun once in a while. ;)

And don't forget to keep an eye on the weekly sales. No need to rush to buy & upgrade everything ASAP; getting things on sale can help quite a bit with the grind.

Anyway, happy to help. If you have any more questions, just ask.
