That alone makes it worth buying because you will eventually make the money back no matter what.
So yes, but I'm warning you, do not buy the Paleto one. (the one behind Pixel Pete's).
I did, I did 2 missions from it and realized it was the worst possible location and spent another 3 million to move. I don't regret the move at all after having done 4 Robberies and a few tow truck runs.
(I chose the lower right one that's by the start of the long highway. I forget the name)
Even shows missions.
5 min watching could save millions from buying wrong location, etc.
You'll lose a car off of your auto shop ramp and whether or not you'll get a new customer for the auto shop is still debatable (ramp's been empty for about five days now).
Also the passive income seems bugged, at one point I was getting 24K a day but yesterday at one point it was as little as little as 4K, so I don't know if you need a steady flow of salvage vehicles for a steady passive income.
EDIT - Just retrieved two more cars and shortly after I received 24K as my daily income added to my safe.
did anyone buy the yacht thinking it made money or was more than a a boat map?
I mean... most missions in the autoshop (with only 2 setup missions) gain you well over 100k; 240k for the Union Depository, while these missions take 5+ setup missions and you usually make a lot less. Even if you deliver the cars to the docks (which is actually yet another mission you need to complete before payment).
And well, while the missions were definitely fun at first they also quickly become boring, at least that's how I fared. Not being able to skip the narrating at the computer becomes frustrating, esp. when you already played a mission before. Which is going to happen quickly because... we just had a renew and I only got 1 new mission; the rest were repeats.
I simply don't like it when the game forces you all the way out to Paleto bay because "reasons", that's when I cancel and do other more profitable things. I'd rather would have gone out to Cayo Perico to try and steal some bolt cutters there.
For the passive income, it's just not worth the time.
It just sits at a bad place where it requires too much upkeep for a passive income stream, and way too low of a payout to compete with any "active" form of money making.
Just the same, $300/day vs $24000/day is another significant difference making spawning into the scrap yard to start two tow missions before going passive mode to do the Nightclub patron cleanup.. Then I'll check my acid lab and make sure to supply up if necessary and see if I am full stock and ready for delivery.. That's roughly my first half hour routine, and it sets up for more passive income while I'm doing whatever missions simultaneously instead of in lieu of..
Spend your time how you'd like cause your enjoyment is the only reason you should be playing the game.. whether that's enjoying shortcuts at the cost of profits, or if it's helping other players accomplish their goals instead.. but maintaining and keeping the income high is easier and better than letting it drop and/or starting from the bottom..
