This tells me they just made GTAV 2, which is not good enough for me. I needed 6 to actually be new engine but absolutely most critically i needed GTA6 to be new network code.
If you release it on the same engine (lazy), i imagine you release it with same netcode. It will have hacks within the first year if not first month, and then it will just be the same totally broken ♥♥♥♥ this game devolved into.
I still cant just load up GTAV, play online, and not get hacked.
GTA6 will be the same. Its just GTA5: Miami, what should have happened like 5 years ago oh well lol
Just so you know, the RAGE engine was introduced with IV and only Max Payne 3, RDR2, and GTA V have used it since. No one's going to change an entire engine after just 3-4 games. Rockstar only started to finally polish the engine up with V that VI would and SHOULD actually be RAGE at its best. People complaining about issues with Online have nothing to do with the engine. That's just Rockstar being lazy.
Same reason a modder managed to fix a problem with GTAO netcode that caused the long loading/wait times by drastically reducing them by 4x the speed. Something that their own team could have done if they weren't so lazy and cared about more than just Shark Cards and micro transactions.
You know what looked like it was actually representative of the game??? That supposed "stolen footage" from a couple years ago where it looked like reskinned GTA5 characters fighting over on Grove Street. Anybody ever really de-bunk that?? Or was it truly GTA6??? Would not surprise me a bit.
